Young Ones... omg LOL Caught a few episodes of that shortlived series on WinAmp.. what nuts! hee hee, I have been watching alot of the good old British comedies lately.. Blackadder, Jeeves & Wooster, Red Dwarf. etc and waiting to catch The Office (which I believe it's the British version).

Have to say though.. British Humor beats the US everytime imho! Looks like ESS TV is trying to get alot more of the old comedies too.. which is great!

I see too that alot of the actors are either best friends, former roomies at Uni or just really like working together as I have seen many who are on other shows, either as regulars or as guests.. cripes Emma Thompson was even on Young Ones ( Bambi episode ..LOL!!) with Huge Laurie and erm.. forgets Jeeves's name offhand.

I also have seen that looking through the new folks too, like Simon Pegg, they also play on alot of different series.. ahh gotta see more of him..methinks it's time to watch Shaun of the Dead again...

Makes me wish I'd break down and get satellite just to watch the British shows lol

Hmm I don't think either TVGold or ESS has that one yes. ESS it looks to be his DVD collections or tapings from the WB or HBO (Sopranos), and he's just got that one channel so far with Fawlty Towers, The Office, Blackadder & Young Ones all together.

TVGold has the British Classics like Dr Who, Blakes 7, HHGttG, Blackadder, Lovejoy, Jeeves & Wooster, The Sweeney, Dad's Army, etc. Oldie classics. Limited viewers though so tend to get bumped alot (Every 30 min now set for free viewing).

ESS has more, like complete STNG, Angel, X-Files, Sopranos, Red Dwarf to S.4 atm of STDS9 and others. Easier to get on to view.

TVG is adding more and more shows, might just break down and get either one as it's only 5 (US) or so a month for each. But, hehheh as long as I can keep watching (meaning not a massive amount of bumps), it's worth it listing and putting on continuous to catch a fav show or two when I have the time and nothing is on regular TV.

I've got both series of the Young Ones on DVD, been watching them recently. And you can't beat a bit of Blackadder and Red Dwarf, and anything with Simon Pegg (Big Train, Spaced) is a winner.

My current favourite comedy show is a surreal programme called the Mighty Boosh, and there's also a new sci-fi comedy called Hyperdrive (I missed the first one as it clashed with Lost!)

(The Actor) Kevin Eldon's good in Hyperdrive, other than that I'm still not decided...

Yeah... it was OK but not hilarious, but (The Actor) Kevin Eldon is good in his role. The woman is lame though, and I still can't think of Nick Frost as anything other than 'Mike'!
