Hi,ive been reading Brian Lumleys Necroscope and Vampire books for years, and would like 2 read his take on the cthulhu mythos... can anyone let me know if there are any books collecting the full set of Brian Lumleys cthulhu mythos short stories? if not, which short story collections by him are predominantly cthulhu mythos...?

batglynn - I see you are in the UK, and there is one specific book you'll want to buy for short stories, and that's the Complete Crow. It doesn't collect all the short stuff, so you might want to pick up the following:
Return of the deep ones
Dagons Bell and other discords.

Other things to look out for, and easier to find are the Mythos Omnibus volumes 1 and 2, which collect the cthulhu mythos novellas.

Other Chulhu things of note are:
The 2 american short story collections,
THe Whisperer and other voices
Beaneath the moors and darker places.

The thing with this is, there are so many ways to go on this, and so many other anthologies worth getting...

THere really is so much out there, so get these if you see them:
Second WIsh and other exhalations
Fruiting bodies and other funghi
Coven of vampires
House of Cthulhu
Tarra Khash: Hrossak (aka Never a backward glance)
Sorcery in shad

The dreamlands series (4 books)
Hero of Dreams
Ship of Dreams
Mad Moon of Dreams
Iced on Aran

Also worthy of note are the Arkham House collections:
THe Caller of the Black
The horror at oakdeene

I think that about covers it... wow, I'm done in!

Tops!

Cheers! thats a great help! im suprised there havent been any complete collections of his cthulhu short fiction out yet - especially as the chaosium cthulhu cycle books seem to be collecting everything together by lovecraft inspired authors.

There is a fair amount of cross over in the collections, especially american vs english collections.

Chaosium did publish Singers of Strange Songs which is a "celebration of Brian Lumley". It's got a couple of rare Lumley Shorts, and a load of pastiches by other mostly unknown authors.
