I thought I would take the time to introduce myself... I am Webhead... I know not very Vampire like but it is who I am... I have followed the groups (mainly the newsgroup) for a while (from the side lines) and I feel I know some of you, by the posts I read. To a degree anyway, at least the CyberId's.

I am a HUGE fan of Mr. Lumley's work and own most of his works. I have read every one of them at least twice each (except for Invaders and Defilers as I just got those not to long ago) I am in general a nut when it comes to the Necroscope series, as I have let the Lumley's know and I'll share the same with you all so you can see how bad I am, and come to your own conclusions.

I have gone so far as to pick names for all of my animals relative to the books; My pure black British short hair tabby is called Lady Karen, My Tarantula is Vasagi, My German Sheppard dog is called Canker and My poor departed Emperor Scorpions were named Shaitan and Shathis. Even my friends and family are not beyond the reach of the power of my emersion in the Wamphyri freakishness; my best friend needed a name for his bird and I suggested Nester, (it seemed to fit at the time) and last but not the least is my four year old son who was not immune to the power of my Fandom for Mr. Lumley's works. I named him Alek after Harry's alternate body... (my wife said no to Harry as my sons name, but I tried and no his middle name isn't Kyle, but I tried that one too) Alek's favorite bed time story book is (whatelse)"Fruting Bodies and Other Fugi" then again his favorite movies are the "Chucky" movies

(Does that make me a bad Daddy?)

My gratitude for an extremely well written collection of work that has given me many hours of enjoyment cannot be measured. I have taken the time to immerse my self in the Dreamland books and the short stories and the Necroscope series all, and have enjoyed every single one; I have yet to find one book from Mr. Lumley that was not everything I hoped for. I haven't yet found copies of some of the books, like the Titus Crow set, or the second House of Doors book; but it is only a matter of time before they are a part of my collection and hence a part of myself.

Well that, in a nut shell, (no pun intended) is me and a little bit of the depth of my fandom; as for me personally... Well my life is... well... an open book. You have but to inquire...

Of Your Own Free Will

Greetings and Salutations to you all, and I hope to be a valued member. I would even aspire to rise to the stature of Wamphyri

Hmm..my vote is on Mom though...

Welcome aboard, webhead.

Y'know, webhead is a nickname for Spiderman, and I heard Lumley was experimenting with a new series where a high school student was bitten by a radioactive necroscope, and gained the proportionte powers of a corpse...

Oh haha... Yes Spider man is a personal hero of mine since I was old enough to read. I even have a tattoo of him on my arm, hence the nick. I have been Webhead since I was three and my parents found me on top of the Frige and couldn't figure out how I got up there. Later it became Monkey Matt as there wasn't a tree in the neighborhood that I didn't climb, or fall out of for that matter, then back to Webhead when my father got us on to the "internet" way back in the early 80's and I needed a call sign. So it just kind of stuck. The radioactive Necroscope? that must have been after the bomb went off....
