In the meantime, here are some round trip flight costs to keep in mind . . . sorry, but I was a Math major and I had to run the numbers! I just randomly picked a time next April. Too bad Shadoe, but it's too expensive flying into Ohio. But I DID check. So, I stuck with New York City and Boston (for Canker and Goblin).

Flights From London
To NYC -----> $370 (253 British Pounds)
To Boston --> $370 (253 British Pounds)

Flights From Manchester
To NYC -----> $402 (275 British Pounds)
To Boston --> $446 (305 British Pounds)

Actually, those flights are a lot cheaper than I would have thought. I flew from Lexington, KY to Boston, MA this past January and paid about $800. And my flight to Dallas and then Corpus Christi next week is going to cost me almost $600 (well, not me really - my company paid for both trips!!!)

Maybe we should start a charity . . . Help All Us Poor Lumlians Get Together!

Ok here is the deal so far... I want to come! I would love to come! And I will come...IF, being a single parent, I can get my ex to take my son for that time frame, and IF I can get everyone I know to agree that gifts for xmas are overrated... tenatively I have reservations for a flight that would leave on November 30th and take me from Kansas City MO to New York NY then on to Manchester (total flight time is around 20 hrs) I won't acctually reach Manchester until the next day! then I leave again from Manchester on the 4th of December to head home again. When I was last in Manchester I stayed at a place that was reasonibly cheap, I think about 30 UK pounds a night, not too bad!

I believe the place was called the West Lynn Hotel, and the phone number was: +44 (0)161 721 4922.

I wouldn't quote me on the price as I couldn't claim it back from work which was a bind! I would have remembered if I claimed.

Dearest Lords and Ladies it is my unfortunate plight to let you all know that I will be unable to attend the next get together! Not for a lack of desire but I have had the good fortune to get an opportunity to not only increase my personal satisfaction in life but in wealth as well. I just recieved word that I was the lucky one to recieve a job that I had been trying to get. However I am required to take the new position as of the first of the year and I need to move to St Louis Missouri in order to accept the job. So between now and the first of January I need to get my act together and move myself and my son to this new city. In doing so I won't have the time for a trip even for a few days, not to mention the cash because of the moving expenses. Hopefully I will be able to maintain a vigil in my contact with all of you but if you do not see me posting as much you will know why. I should be back up to speed by mid January anyway so I won't go missing for very long.

Thanks to all of you for your support in my wish to join the festivities and I hope you have fun but I have a great thing happening and I want to concentrate on it for the next few weeks
