Hello all - I am starting to come out of my hiding hole and waking up from the log week prior.
First off, thank you - a BIG THANK YOU - to my UK moderators for the gift. It will be treasured and I am glad to have a crew such as you helping out on this board and site like you do. Thanks again. I just wish you all could have delivered it in person, but i guess that trip across the pond would be a little tedious for a gift delivery. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif
Vegas was a blast and I have some other pictures to go up - I just haven't gotten to it yet. I was trying to get a nice mix of updates and enjoying the trip all together and it got hard near the end of the trip as you start to realize your time is getting short and you want to get more in.
great to see Keith and Jane again as well as spend time with Brian and Silky. If it weren't for those darn slot-machines - I'd have been able to buy more books in Texas at the Con! AS it was, Vegas kept more of my money than I did, but it was worth it, cause it was truly a fun trip and the wife and I are planning the next one already.
Watch for the pics in the next day or so everyone and I hope you enjoyed the realtime updates and webcam booksigning.

HEY HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Welcome back o' Shadoey one!
glad to hear you guys had a great time and got to meet each other, i must admit it would have been great to be there but maybe next time, until then we have to content ourselves with meeting in this cute albeit flooded island!....
Shadoe, u are very welcome, that came courtesy of Pybob and we all signed it at Bram Stoker's. Just wanted to show how much we like ya!
and hey, who knows, maybe u could come here soon for a UK meet....

To Shadoe all I have to say is BRAVO!! I met some great people at the signing. Being very new to the board it was great to meet the creator of the page. Also meeting Brian, Silky and especially Keith (who several people remarked how he looks like Rod Stewart) was a trip! If only other authors could be as gracious. He was kind enough to sign everything I brought, and I brought a lot. It will be a memory that I will treasure for a long time. How many authors will ask his fans questions about them and then tell his fans which books to hold on to because they will be worth a fortune. He was quite entertaining and in general a very nice man. He took an interest in each fan that came to him. I have heard of no other author who does that. I second with Nathan, if someone had told me that I would be talking with and then having a drink with Brian Lumley I would have bet the farm that they were wrong. I’m glad I don’t have a farm!

Yeah, that Shadoe, what a loon! He had a blast in Vegas, alright. When he came back to his hotel room at 4:30 in the am., you can bet his wife had a blast for him. All the way to Corpus Christi, TX. Funny thing about CC that I'm sure all who traveled there will attest to...the Continental Express flight had to be only a stones away from riding in the belly of a flyer across the wastes.
Anyway, wait until you see the photos taken by Shadoe and moi. I'm sure the envious green from the UK will be visible from this side of the pond.
Cheers!
PS: Never, EVVVVER refer to Keith Grant-Evans's resemblance to Rod Stewart in Keith's presence. The property damage alone can be staggering! http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif

Aww shucks... sounds like I missed out on a really fun time! Next time methinks Silky's hand luggage will be one Goth Girl heavier!
Shadoe... glad you liked the pressie. Wish we could've delivered it in person, but until either me, Scarlet or Pybob win the lottery it's not very likely! Also, thanks to Silky for passing it onto you on our behalf.

Oh, and thank Goth Girl for the book, wouldn't have happened without her traipsing down to Forbidden Planet every day harranging the staff till they found a copy!
Oh, did I mention I was jealous?

I, also, am jealous about the Christmas party. Started thinking of cheap ways to get almost to the other side of the planet but nothing comes to mind. But I wouldn't want anyone not to go to the Christmas party if they have a chance (Go dammit, damn double negatives.). Because as Nathan said at the Las Vegas signing, "It's not everyday that you meet your hero."
