Well, scheduled for February it appears it has shown up a bit ahead of schedule. smile.gif You can order it now through Amazon or you can go down to your local bookshop and demand it be placed in your hands! Welcome this new edition of rare pieces to your Lumley collection.

Now that it's been out a while - is everyone happy with this new collection of shorts?
I think it makes an excellent companinon to The Whisperer, completing many collections - well, at least for us here in the States. smile.gif Anyone else have any thoughts to share on this latest Collection release?

I didn't bother buying it. I just spent quite a chunk on the original not too long ago.
Is it any different? Other than the binding and such?

IMO, beneath the moors the comp and whisperers are in theory good ways for getting to read some of the harder to purchase older stories. ive been unable to get a "second wish" for what seems an enternity and ive finally managed to get "return of the deep ones" last week.
Im just perplexed why they are only released in the US, do us brits not warrant a release in the UK too?

I guess that's something that should be taken up with Brian's publishers over here (Hodder & Stoughton?). Tor published them because they wanted to re-release some of Brian's older stuff.
I would like to see it published over here too, especially if it had another cool cover... so, who's with me to storm the offices of H&S to demand some re-releases? ;)

i figured that the publishers only take the US market seriously... hence we only get the main stream releases of necro??? and none of the compendiums..

Well, Tor only publish in the States... they won't bring stuff out over here because they don't deal with Britain. It's down to each individual publishing company in each country what they publish or don't... so I guess it's back to arse-kicking at H&S!!
Still, at least it's not too hard to get US versions of stuff over here... more to the detriment of my credit card!!

I don't think he was answering my question, JB... but from what I gather, the new edition includes other stories besides just the title story, Beneath the Moors.
The old, original copy I have does not. But that's okay.
