Yes that is the question! From what if they filmd the scene all in Hollywood yuck!!!!!
for the vampire movies:
British Columbia/ Alberta
Oregon/Washington
The london scene could be done in Hollywood but rrrrr Is there a land that looks like England but cheap like central europe or NE america?

We'd probably blow the whole budget in getting to the right locations. I think the settings in this world would be appropriate... U.K., the Carpathians, the Mediterranean, etc. But how about the Vampire World? Maybe shoot footage of the Vampire Swamps down on the Bayou in Louisiana, the Caverns of the Thyre either in Utah or Arizona (I see the place in my head from pictures... where water has washed crevases in the desert that are 100 feet deep), and for our Canadian friends... film the Icelands up there.
Any other suggestions? Money is no object (cause it isn't coming out of my pockets).

For Harry Keogh's early years in the north east of England, how about - the north east of England? My old school would be perfect - minutes from the sea and overlooks a derelict coal mine. And of course the English education system could use the cash.
Oh, and all the cast and crew can go to my mum's for tea!

Absolutely Goth Girl... especially being from Yorkshire myself (I've been to the service station in N:IV - my claim to fame http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif!)
But not just that... the US is hardly mentioned in the books, the UK also has the 007 studio at Pinewood (can we say Star Wars and Batman and Bond?)
Or Australia, their movie infrastucture is improving all the time, especially thanks to Alex Proyas and the Warschowski Brothers.
But please, make it anywhere, just don't have any Dick van Dyke accents playing in key rolls...
