Saw this movie the weekend it opened... and I enjoyed the hell out of it!

It's an old role playing game. I'm sure at one time or another it was a cartoon, but I don't remember it...I was wondering if the movie would be any good...I guess I'll go see it and I'll get back to ya! http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif

It was a cartoon, I kind'a remember it... I remember a little kid who was a barbarian, and his pet unicorn named Uni. I wonder why I remember that? I never even watched it...

The movie was good. Not nearly as cheesey as I was expecting. Excellent fx.

yeah i remember the cartoon, couple of kids go on a rollercoaster, and get transported into another realm, all might & magic each with their own special weapons, and the yoda like, dungeon master. oh and the big bad guy who always lead them to believe they were going home. always featured pandoras box, their only escape. i moved on to xmen and stuff so dont remember anything else. sorry.
is the film out in the uk?

Good movie, but I was disapointed. I'm no D&D'er, so I couldn't complain from that angle, but the trailer looked a lot better that the movie actually was. And does anyone have a clue as to what happened at the end of the movie? I was confused.

Ah, you mean when the good guys just disappeared into that light? I have no idea what that was about...

I kind'a expected 'you know who' to come back from the dead (trying to avoid a spoiler there).

Of course, the movie wasn't as good as the trailer made it out to be, but then, what movie ever is?

I would have to say The Matrix was, since they kept it rather cryptic. Then there was Gladiator, low key trailers, kick ass movie.

Have to agree with you on Gladiators Daxx..great movie. 13th Warrior also great, based on "Eaters of the Dead" by Michael Crichton..combination of actual notes from the one who Banderas played mixed in with the classic Beowulf.

Yeah, I'll agree with you on those two also Daxx... Matrix was simply awesome, and Gladiator was the second-best movie I ever saw, right behind Braveheart http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif

Unfortunately, movies like those are rare.

Yes Krynus, I thought so, you should read the book too. Is actually the only movie with him (Banderas) that I liked..LOL
