Sometimes I wonder if you people ever look around the site. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif It's mentioned in three or four places -- but the most prominent and easy to find? It's in the Store.
Click on the link above and go to the odds and ends page or jump directly now:

Not to mention it's been featured in the Newsletter two or three times and those are all archived on the site too. Why do I bother when no one reads anything?!?! Who knows....

I think the real question is:
Is it any good?
I've played a lot of RPGs and I've found that many don't really get good until the 3rd edition when all of the creases have been ironed out (making it easier to play without making stuff up as you go along)

Cornixt,
you sound like a 'rulebook facist' to me http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/wink.gif
I used to run Vampire the Masquerade games a few years ago, and never let a roll of the die get in the way of a good adventure. Of course with Vampire the players often don't know why they're rolling -- at least, when they played my adventures they didn't.
I set it in the UK, and, inspired by Lumley, included a versin of E-Branch that was stalking the characters. My adventures got quite weird. I recall the chracters actually killed the players' real life selves if you see what I mean.
I have all the Necroscope RPG material. It's a pretty finickity game system, and I can't imagine anyone wanting to play it by West End Games' rules. It does make for interesting reading if you're a Necroscope fanatic. Also fams of Lumley should check out Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu stuff 'cos I know some books contain material from Lumley's Mythos work, the Dreamlands book especially.

I'm not a rulebook fascist, I just like to know how to play a game properly. Of course, I don't look up every rule for every situation during the game, but afterwards I look up the more important ones or ones which will come up frequently. If I don't like a rule then I change it, but I make sure my players know what they are rolling for. That way, the suspense of an important roll is amplified, and they tend to enjoy it a lot more. Just getting them to roll dice and tell you the result isn't the point. You might aswell just roll it for them.

I've got the pen n paper RPG, and didn't much care for the rules. I just took some of their core stuff and went my merry way with it. Instead of dice, West End Games used a deck of cards to randomize particular actions, which I absolutely DETESTED!

Well, personally, I don't like the West End Games system of role playing, but I still have all the companion books revolving around the Necroscope Saga. For the most part all my role playing is now done online (well, it used to be until I went broke, you surmise the rest) so I never really bother with stats, and dice and all that for the Necroscope systems, though I do use the stats and dice for my White Wolf characters (it's kinda difficult if you don't)
Getting to the point, the Necroscope RPG equipment is great, gives some good pointers, and all that, but overall the system itself gets a low score...

I posted on the old board about this...
IMHO get the Necroscope 'core' book, and the forget the Masterbook System.
Get The Window system (available free on the net)
at: www.mimgames.com (http://www.mimgames.com)
btw this isnt a plug by anyone involved..i've run games with this system many times, and it lends itself to story telling quite welll i find.......
