I got this one from a Bill Bryson book, he ain't a Puzzler but a Iowa born travel writer who's spent a long time in Yorkshire (good man!)...

This is a genuine address put on an envelope in the US some time ago... Where was it sent to?

Wood
John
Mass

That's all you get...

One clue only...

There are 3 lines to the address...

First name & Surname

Town (city, whatever)

State (Yes, Massachcetts - my spelling's off!)
Have fun!

Was it sent to a Mr.Wood in Johnsville, Massechutas? Just a wild guess, I've never been known to be very good at word games.

Sorry Pzartal, everything you need is in the three lines...

Wood

John

Mass
Anything else is a lateral leap from that...

Still no takers!?! Well then a clue...

John is under Wood & it is over Mass... Any more and I may as well tell you!!!

Have fun!

I figured out the name, it's John Underwood (DOH http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif ) *lol*

But, still being a thrall the rest eludes me!

Aha!

Could it have been sent to...

John Underwood (thanks to whoever got that bit) in Andover, Mass?

Did I finally get one of these riddles right? Could it be?
