Now is the time for we undead to unite and put an end to E-Branch forever, while they are at their weakest! I mean, Ben's a nice guy but he's no Sir Keenan, he's no Alec Kyle, or even Darcy! And the baby steps telepath Liz? If greats such as Trevor Jordon fell before a small power as Janos, what chance does she and the likes of Millicent Cleary have against THREE elders from S/S?
Don't even get me started on the self- centered, powerless by himself Jake... Any thoughts?

Nathan, as I think about it I have to agree with you that Harry certainly had his share of help in the past. And Ben is also a more interesting character because he has lasted so long, but I think in terms of running E-Branch the experiences in his past have made him weaker and not stronger (examples would be spoilers, but look what he sent his new recruits into in Invaders and then turned around and tried to use the opposite tack in Defilers and not use Liz and Millie at all for personal reasons!). I'd much rather see Ben's head emptied of all thought and Jazz Simmons come back and fill it even without powers. Perhaps when I ascend I will work on this...

One of the few things I've never understood Lumley doing was having Jazz join the great majority due to illness! I know it's somewhat more realistic this way than, say, dying with his hands wrapped aroung Turkor or someone's throat, but it almost seems we lost Jazz so he could rise up and further Nathan's story.

Even before Jazz is forced through the gate, the straight espionage bits are really cool. I think that was his first mission, which is too bad because a pre- Source Jazz story would rock. Maybe he would have taken unarmed combat lessons from Sgt. Lane?
But back to subject, who do you think would be on the E-Branch "dream team"?
I nominate the disembodied Harry from
the original novel!
