Hi guys, some help would be much appreciated with a question. I've got one of Brian's books called Maze Of Worlds, I'm just wondering if there are any books preceeding or following this?

Much Thanks in advance. grin.gif

Maze of Worlds is the US title of the sequel to House of Doors. The UK title of Maze of Worlds is House of Doors: Second Visit...

Thanks for a speedy response Exsanguinator. That book has been on my shelf for about two years now and finally I know what to look for so I can read it!

I figured i'd stick this here.
Question. I personally did not like the Tor cover for Maze of World, The UK version was much better. I'm wondering if someones going to put the first House of Doors between Boards? And speaking of the same, I liked Tors covers for the Psychomech books (which I liked the stories an awful lot), but why did they only hardcover the last book? I'd like to see them finish it, (or start it, in this case) if not I'd like to see someone else do it as a nice set.

Any clues? Someone put a Bug in someone's ear.

Don't worry Chris, stick with it long enough and you will. Enjoy it, you have all this to look forward to!

I wasn't too keen on the Tor cover either, the UK one was far more in-keeping.

Did you prefer the Tor Psychomech covers to the Grafton ones then Showoff?

Actually I don't think I've seen a Grafton cover for the Psychomech. I have both versions of the second house of doors hardcovers, so between the two theres no comparison. Wait. I just remembered I have, the ones with the redish back ground? There ok, I just like the pretty colors of the Tor. I just think if your going to make a hard cover of a series you should make them all. I tell you I liked the original Demogorgon P\B cover though. The 1987 first.

Which is that, mine isn't a first but I'm not sure if it's the same cover or if it was changed. Mine has 3 heads in 1, is that the one or is it different?

I'm not sure which of the Psychomech covers I like best, you're right with the red background, they're the ones.

I've got a first edition of the house of doors two (maze of worlds, but before it was changed to that) I'm really enjoying it, I like this duo of books, found it better than Titus crow.

Silver, the three in one was a change from the original, the one with an ugly cus, spooky eyes, big crap eating grin with nasty teeth, and electric all around the head like the glass ball of electric that dance under your fingers when you touch them. It has the same look as the first original Necroscope. It's always reminded me of an uncle. grin.gif

I haven't seen that cover.

Difficult to say if it was better than Titus Crow or not, totally different so hard to compare

Its been mentioned elsewhere in the forum about the similarities between Necroscope and Stargate (the gates and the symbiote leeches for instance). But I watched a film called The Cube a while back and I couldn't help but think that they had ripped the main idea straight out of House of Doors. Don't know if this has been brought up before or if anyone else thinks the same about the movie.

It's not a film I've seen so I can't comment, but I can't remember it being discussed before so go for it!

What are the similarities, and is it worth watching?

Yeah, I bought that one first too. I started reading it and i was thinking to myself that it seemed as though there was a book before it, and when I went and checked...lo and behold. It took my a few years to get my hands on the first one, but it was worth the wait.

I picked the Hiouse of Doors up when I was a Sophomore in high School, back in '93. Started reading it, but finally put it down for years. I picked it back up in 2000 and finished it. Last year, I got the sequel 'Maze of Worlds' at Barnes and Noble. I took it with me to read on a camping /conoeing trip. My buddy picked it up and read the synopsis on the back. His eyes got big, and he just said" This book sounds crazy as Hell". I really liked both of them.
