THE VASAGI SCULPTURES
When Paul Brown showed me the first finished busts at KeoghCon Two ... I could scarcely believe my eyes! These are just wonderful (hideous but wonderful) things. But I could readily believe the price because I knew what those Classic Plastics figurines -- no longer available -- in the USA had cost. (Yes, and I know what they cost now, on the dealer's markets!)
It's our intention, Paul's and mine, to continue this line beyond Vasagi the Suck. We'd also like to offer Canker Canison, Devetaki Skullguise, Gorvi the Guile, etc., to our unsuspecting, not-quite-innocent public. But of course that's going to depend on sales of Vasagi.
Well, interest has been such that we don't think there'll be very much of a problem there. For while we haven't actually accepted any orders yet -- while Vasagi hasn't yet been offered as the collector's item he'll obviously become -- we do already know where more than a dozen of these little beauties (and remember: there are only thirty-five of the hand-painted, numbered and signed Limited Editions) where they're going to be headed.
So, when will they be offered?
From 7th November 2002 on, Barbara Ann Lumley (Silky) will accept payments for the hand-painted Limited Edition Vasagi. In the Store section of this site there'll be a page for Vasagi where you'll see all the details on prices and methods of payment. And you'll be able to contact Silky right from that page. When the Limited Edition has sold out, we intend to do the unpainted basic bust as a do-it-yourself, with instructions on how-to-paint.
Very well, so what does the Limited Edition consist of?
It's the Vasagi the Suck bust and Pedestal, hand-painted, as viewed at KeoghCon Two and on this website. Also, along with the finished item which will be numbered on the base, comes an official Brian Lumley envelope containing a description of Vasagi from the literature, including a numbered Statement of Limitation, signed by the author, artist, and painter. (This could sit very nicely in an A4 frame behind the bust on your display shelf.)
As for the price … we are working on it.
Personally, I'm looking forward to having a complete set of these things on my shelf -- well, eventually. But right now I'm anticipating Paul Brown's version of Canker Canison. And I frankly admit that I drool at the thought.
But then, I always was an animal lover.
(And a sloppy eater, too!)

I for one will definately be buying these statues, and after slipping up on all the drool, which was left after Paul's showing of Vasagi, I don't think there will be any problem selling them
I am also glad you have pusuaded Paul to have them painted, because I know I couldn't have done the statue any justice by painting it myself.
