Should I? -or- Shouldn't I?......

What the heck! I've seen both... without detail on my opinion, T3, pretty good, could've been a bit better... Pirates, awesome! It could be because it's sci-fi, or maybe because it has Johnny Depp(!!!!!!Ahhh!!! ...sigh.... )... but either way I loved it!

With you on that one JB... Mr Depp is the only thing in that entire film that has the chance of dragging my butt off the sofa and down to the local Picture House!

T3... doesn't really grab me, but then I didn't bother with the first two. Not an Arnie fan, despite having to listen to his mumblings on the Grand Prix programme today. Tempted to take a sick-day off work tomorrow, to go down to Leicester Square for the London premiere of T3, but only cos there'll be a Formula One car driving around!

While I do also love Mr Depp you have both forgotten the gorgeousness that is Orlando Bloom (Legolas-also in PotC)
As for T3, I can't wait! I love Arnie but do find it amusing that it's rated as 12A!! Can you imagine all the younguns wanting to watch the first two?! But I've found that T2 is the first 18 many people I know watched...when they were about 10!

AFAIK, T2 was a 15 at the cinema... I remember because I was (hmmm 1992), 15.... I think it got a better cert on Video though!

I haven't had the chance to check out "Pirates" yet but T3 was a great end to the trilogy.... Or is it the end?
I think that Hollywood might try another one but without Arnold possibly.... Just the robot, no skin. Who knows?
Though I have to admit I would have like to see more of the "Loss of skin" on this Arnold Terminator like we did in T2. It seemed like there was as much of a long drawn out process as to damage to the unit like there was in T2. Oh well.
Otherwise the movie I thought was great.... especially the end....

Mr Bloom? yeuch!

Mr Depp? Oh yes!

Arnholt? gag!

That's my incisive, thought out, well presented argument on this subject...

Canker you've just inspired me to go watch T3, I wasn't going to at first as I thought the plot and story would have had more and bigger holes in it than my underpants but your little spoiler has given me hope that maybe T3 wont be as bad as I thought it was going to be and that it may even tie up those loose ends and paradoxes left dangling after T2.
T2 was a top film but the original TERMINATOR remains one of my all time favourite films I remember watching it as a 10yr old and being scared yet fascinated at the same time.
I do actually fancy going to see TPOTC but Mr Depp with eye liner can't say I find that appealing and as for Orlando frankly I'm getting sick of my teenage sister going on about him and how great and gorgeous he is when personally I think he's as wooden as a wooden door made from the finest wood out of the woodiest wood.

Ahhh, but my dear, Red Willow is no mere woman... ... although a few laps round the Northenden Suite would determine who's the fastest!

Going back to the topic, I think Johnny Depp is a damn good actor... nice to see someone who can bring a little humour to his roles.

Apparently off to see T3 tonight so I'll be more enlightened about the film next time I post in this this thread so in the immortal words of Arnold Swarztawatsit

"I require your cloths boots and motorcycle" No that not it.....oh I know

"You are one ugly mother......" No no no that's not it either

"Stick around" God dam it that's not it

Any way I give up but don't worry I'll be back.

I've always liked pirate movies but recent offerings have lacked the finesse to do the genre justice as have most westerns made post Peckinpah and Leone. I'm hoping that they have got it right with this one and reviews from across the Atlantic suggest they might have. If they are to be believed Mr Depp steals the picture, I'm not his greatest fan but he is capable of a great performance if he is cast correctly and given a half decent script.
So hoist the Jolly Roger and pass the grog I'm going to give this one a go me hearties, keel haul me if I don't. Yaaaaarg!

Well I've seen T3 and thought it was really good lots of action and lots and lots of cheesy 1 liners, the only problem I have is that it really is a no brainer of a movie and doesn't add anything new to the orginal films.

The more I talk about it the less I'm liking it, it's such a cash in and there setting up numerous sequels no doubt and theres probably going to be a Terminator the series.
I just think they might be cheapening the whole thing ?

I saw t3 at the weekend, it's easily the best US film I've seen this year, I was expecting nothing at all from it, but enjoyed it massively - even the GF liked it and she laughed at some of the one-liners. I much prefered it to X2 and Matrix 2, but, I had much higher hopes for them. Yeah it's been done before, but they did it in a way that left me feeling satisfied. Maybe I'm a sick Arnie fan, I just don't know. Granted I don't like to follow the hype, so went with my eyes firmly closed!
