Well, let's try to get something moving on this... we need decisions people!! I'll put up a few suggestions, but feel free to add more, or rule others out. And who's gonna make the final decision... majority rule? I know that wherever and whenever we decide, there's gonna be someone who can't make it.
Suggested places: Birmingham, Leeds (we've done London, and Manchester is later this year!). I don't know Brum at all, but happy to do a bit of hunting around online to find somewhere suitable. We have plenty of Yorkies who can suggest venues for Leeds! Other areas cool, but preferably fairly central.
Suggested Dates: 5th July, 12th July, 19th July, 26th July (all Saturdays, obviously). June is OK by me, but not August at all. If y'all could give a couple of dates when you'd be around, maybe we could pick the one that's most popular (even if August if that's best for everyone)?
Let's get planning guys!!![]()

Afterthought... once we've got a few ideas, maybe I'll put up a poll; that way we can vote for dates and locations, if that sounds fair to everyone?

August and late July is no good for me... so the 1st couple of weekends in July are the best for me.
Leeds/Wakefield obviously would be great for me ... or any other Yorkshire venue.
Reckon the Poll ideas the best so when we have a few ideas -- THE GREAT MAJORITY RULE!!!

It's been WAAAAYYYYY too long since I hauled myself out of the pit and saw you guys (the last time I broke bread was the First Con). Now that my -pause for drama- "career conversion" is more or less complete, I've got a bit more spare cash.
I know that Tops is heading up my way (ooh err) early June'ish, So I'd be happier with an early to late July meet-up.
I'm mobile now (woohoo!) so I'm not fussed where: The further North the better, IMO. Heh.

Not too fussy about where.
Dates are a big problem for us at the moment as we are selling up and moving back to the Toon. We will probably have to wait until a date is decided and then try to plan around this.
If it is physically possible, we will be there.Vegas in the snow.....never would have believed it

I vaguely remember from another thread that Tops can't do 5th July (or am I totally wrong on this?), so at the mo, 12th July is looking strong.
Seems to be a Leeds/Wakefield bias so far, unless we have any dissenters?Drum Bitch Extraordinaire... http://www.facebook.com/SysFX

I never do anything over the summer (except go-YAY, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY SOON) as my "real" friends disappear...happens a lot actually. Dunno if I could get that far north, unless Im staying with my wonderful father who may wish to drive me. Grovelling could ensue!

Well, the 12th July is not possible for me, but don't let that stop anyone else taking up the offer....not that it would anyway but you know what I mean.

Oh Bugger! On checking the dates with my good lady wife a prior engagement on the 12th came to light that had slipped my mind completely .... the 5th is now my only available date.
I reckon the poll idea is the best ... 'cos I don't think it'll be possible for everyone to attend....

Well the main reason I suggested the 12th is becuase Tops couldn't make the 5th... if he can't do either, then 5th is fine by me, and hopefully Raider can make that one too...?
Haven't got time to put up any polls right now (unless anyone else wants to?) but maybe next week...Drum Bitch Extraordinaire... http://www.facebook.com/SysFX

I think either date is fine with me, haven't checked with Joanne yet but she hasn't mentioned any plans, I will put her preferences in the poll for her as well as my own if that's ok with everyone else? Also I will hopefully be moving house sometime in July so while a few drinks close to home would be fine, I don't think I will be able to go too far afield, with expense and time away from packing/unpacking and organising stuff.
Where's the Derby Dumpling?!

Sorry to say, but will not be able to attend...
Really, you've no idea how sorry I am to miss a drinking session...
I'll just have to stay in Bastingfolke and cry into my beer...
Oh well, chances are will catch up at K3...
Have fun, be bad...
But please, please remember to forget what it was that you did... atleast until the photo's come out...

I really hope you mean you're going to see Alice Cooper in concert, not that you have a thang going with him!

OK then guys, the poll is ready... limited it to two dates, as they seem to be the ones mentioned most, and a preference for early July ws shown.
Please only use it if you seriously intend to make it to the meeting.
Also... I don't know about anyone else, but I would like to open this up to non-registered members, as long as they're serious Lumley fans who maybe just haven't gotten round to subscribing, or are too shy. A little recruiting for the Board or KeoghCon wouldn't hurt...
