I've been a big Brian Lumley fan ever since the first Necroscope novel was recommended to me back in the early 90s. I also used to visit this site long ago when it was first getting started (before there were message boards). Let's see, I've got everything he's published and have worn through no fewer then three paperback copies of The Necroscope.
I came here today because I went to the bookstore last night for some new reading material. I'm having surgery on Thursday and wanted something new to read while I'm off work next week recovering. I was pretty suprised that Mr Lumley had a recent novel out (The Touch) so I picked it up in hardcover. I'll probably start reading it this weekend if I'm up to much of anything.
As an aside, I just started reading Bram Stoker's Dracula the other day. I've never read it but the first few chapters just seemed so familiar.![]()

Ouch, had to look that one up.
The wife kind of looked at the cover a little strangely. I mean, she knows I read horror but I don't think she's ever really paid attention to a BLumley cover.
I must say that he's consistantly had the best artwork of any author I regularly read.
