Now don't get me wrong it's really not about the presents, I had a great Christmas really enjoying the company of my family and friends and grinning with total smugness when a couple of present that I had given were quite obviously very well received.
That's what it's all about for me, being thankful for what you have, meaning great friends and family - not the presents, good food on the table and a warm and cozy place to be. I know it sounds like a Cliché but I really do appreciate these things.
Having said that I was also given a few things that were very well received indeed. These included The Taint, Haggopian and The Ghost Quartet - yay!
Other things of note that I also recieved included The Necronomicon - a collection of Lovecraft, a book on motor racing, couple of Batman graphic novels, Rob Zombie box collection, Set of pans (may sound ridiculous but I was really quite excited about the pans!) and a Nintendo DS with Mario and Guitar Heros - yay!
So did anyone else receive any Lumley for Christmas? Was there anything in particular that made you really smile?

The pressie that made me smile most (and literally laugh out loud) was a book called Pets with Tourettes... I opened it at random and it was just so damned funny!

Hee hee hee, indigestions is awful. I was very fortunate in that I didn't get any ill effects all through Christmas and the New Year. I ate and drank everything and just felt really satisfied and full! I didn't even get the dreaded Christmas cold that everyone else I know had.
Of course this means that next year I'll get everything and be really ill!Where's the Derby Dumpling?!
