Dean Koontz lost it many years ago for me,seemed to start writing with mini tv series in mind I think,a great writer in his day though.
At the moment I'm rereading Lovecraft omnibus, just about to start Statement of Randolph Carter....excellent.
Its true what they say about Mountains of Madness,it does get better every time.....much like Necroscope series and the dynamite Khai of Khem

best thing from Koontz was Watchers and Lightning.

Bought MFW Curran's, The Hoard of Mhorrer at the weekend what i've read so far it's got me hooked. Set in the early 1800's about a secret sect of monks who are out to destroy Count Ordrane of Draak, who commands vampyres and other daemon creatures of the night, nice.

Well......... I'll have to get the title and authors of the horror books I've read recently.
Some were pretty good... some not so good.
Having not found one that I'm "into" right now I picked up a great read called "Spartan" by Valerio Massimo Manfredi.
    Great read on ancient Greece.
And since my fiance is half Spartan and full-blood Greek I figured I best know what I'm dealing with lol ;o)

Just finished The Plague Bearer - what a great add-on to The Lost Years! I tried to make it last as long as I could, but in the end, I came to the end. Great story Bri.

Now I am finishing the Lost Year Vol. II (only about a hundred pages left) and am just starting the second book in the Repairman Jack series, Legacies, by F Paul Wilson.

I agree, Dave. A nice add on.

I'm glad Brian excluded it from "The Lose Years" volumes to give us some new Necroscope all these years later.

How you liking the RMJ stuff? I've been reading it since about 2000, and it's really good. You'll need to get the adversary cycle to bookend it all. Seems all his books have a thread running through them

So far - I love it. Jack is one heck of a character and i got hooked about halfway through The Tomb. needless to say, I have books 3-7 waiting on the shelf for me to get to and trying to find time to sit down and read has become difficult but i am managing.
