    Never far away...

I finished Necroscope II: Wampyri! for the second time in my life last night. I read parts 1 and 2 when I was a teenager, after guzzling all of the HPL my father could foist on me.

Strangely, the imagery from my first reading was recovered and re-experienced; almost like no time had passed. Actually, it has to have been over 20 years...

New ground for me today; I started Necroscope III.

I've been a frequent stumbler over Brian's stuff, along with Ramsey Cambell's, for many, many years. Can't really avoid the guys in the gothic horror genre

I couldnt tell you how many times i have read them all...everytime a new book comes out

I re read them from the begining...minus the books that have mysteriously disapeared from my collection
at one time I had all of them on hardback ( i would give away the paperback once i got the hardback)

I practically have the first 3 books memorized..but i always catch something new re reading them ( all of them)

Welcome Phaedrus to the fold long may you enjoy.

Let me get this right, you didn't read any further than Necroscope II, boy are you in for a treat if you go all the way. My favorite parts are The Vampire World Trilogy, (that was where it all began for me). Brian's writing is for me the best there is, from Harry to Eldin/Hero and everything in between.

I would love to read a new book with Nathan..I had just finished high school when the first vampire world book came out
Lardis is one of my faverite characters of those books ( i think he has a bit of a cherokee sence of humor in the e-Branch books)

Oh yes indeed the first two are only the begining the others immerse you fully in the ways of the necroscope once you finish the third then the others call to you. I have read them all more than once and hope to read them again and again.

You really should go all the way. Oh er missus

Welcome aboard Phaedrus. I can't believe you read the first two then stopped! I could not stop, the first time I read them I was pretty much obsessed!
