I can think of 2 mind thieves in particular who went about it in an intrusive way, Geoffrey Paxton was particularly unpleasant and took personal liberties with his mind thievery, and Malinari the Mind was pretty gruesome with his technique, using his fingers in a rather horrid way and leaving nothing but a gibbering mess behind!
