Now we have a remake a Fright Night, but we still don't have any more info on getting these great books done as movies? Something is wrong here.

That is exactly what I was talking about, too. The old Fright Night was good. Instead of an endless remake of old movies (it was in the '80's so I count it as old) why not make some movies that are similar to the old ones that they know are bankable, but have a new story to them? If they keep this up they're going to remake Casablanca and I've heard that they're redoing The Wizard of Oz. Nobody can tell me that "Necroscope" doesn't deserve to be turned into a movie. It can be, but doesn't have to be, a big budget movie.

remakes....ugh
Yep. Now I hear they are doing a remake fo Cleopatra with Angelina Jolie as the lead actress...... I mean really... wasnt it enough she played Alexanders mother?! Now she has to play a descendant? Sheesh!!
Its like the current people in hollywood have run out of ideas and leaning back on what they remember as a kid...
HBO shouldve never gotten rid fo ROME ... that had promise!!!!!!!
(and mostly all british actors I believe)
I was eagerly awaiting the Necriscope movie and with CGI like it is today, it would play out great if done with care.
What ever happened to it? Die on the vine????

Seriously?!? UHG! I take it that Hollywood has just given up. Haven't they?
I don't know about that because I've never watched the show. I don't have HBO.
I agree with you. I don't think that it would even need that much in cgi. Then again, with shows like Doctor Who out there doing a great job with not too much money it doesn't even need to be a big expensive movie, but something low budget but quality. Something done well and with love. Why can't we have a LotR for vampires?

There are people interested in vampire movies unfortunatley they only seem to be interested in vampires that sparkle.
