The Necroscope movie mentioned on Face Off Last Night!

During the finale of Face Off, there was a brief interview with each of the judges. Glenn Hetrick, of Optic Nerve VFX was asked what he was currently working on. When he said "Necroscope" I had such a huge freak out I almost missed the end of the show!! Glenn also mentioned his early influences for getting into monster makeup and VFX being Hammer and Hellraiser. Well, that sounds like a pretty good combination to me for designs worth of Lumley's vision!!

I have high hopes that this time it will take off! It's WAY overdue! I'm ready to see Wamphyri on the big screen and for the blissfully horrifying nightmares that will follow!!

For any director attempting to take on Necroscope, I wish you luck. I know for a die hard fan as myself I expect the true story, of course the book will always be better because that's where we fell in love with Harry and Dragosani. But who ever takes this project on seriously has their work cut out for them.

I couldn't agree more! It's one of the most difficult stories that could ever make it to the big screen, if done properly.

I was blown away when they said that. I haven't read the books in years but loved it so much. I can't imagine what else they'll come up with after see the pics. I am so excited about the movie. I am definitely going to have to read the books again.

I'm itching for a re-read myself. It hasn't been that long, maybe a year or two, but I miss that universe and now with this announcement, I'm wanting to go back! Plus I have other art pieces I want to do and need to be immersed in the books to do them right!
