I have all of the Necroscope books in paperback and am now trying to get the ones in Hardcover. Seems that Vampyri is out of print but Necroscope and The Source are still available. I placed an order with Barnes and Nobles and when I got the books they had no dust cover jackets on them. ***( For those that don't know what I'm talking about it's the paper jacket that surrounds the book and protects it. It also has the paperback art work on it)*** I called their customer service line and they said to get ones with the jackets I'd have to return these and they would throw them away. THROW THEM AWAY?????!!!!!!! This is why there are so few copies out there to begin with. I declined and kept the books because I was afraid that if I returned them they would then become out of stock. (Murphy's Law) So now I have 2 great books in black with no covers or artwork. Unbelievable...Wish Silky and Brian Lumley could help me out in the jacket cover area but I doubt it Hint, hint, hint.....*L* Anyways it should be noted to the distributors like Barnes and Nobles and Amazon that trashing the books simple because the jacket covers are missing is unacceptable. Just my thoughts as a true Brian Lumley fan.

I agree, its a terrible thing for them to do that, what a waste is right. And yes Canker, you should always carry the 'wisdom' of Murphy's Law with you..lol, I do. :-|

I myself have just ordered a signed, hardcover edition of "Deadspeak" from Silky and because it will be signed by the Master himself, that is good enough for me and will be a treasured item. *Makes room in her bookcase*

Is that the UK version of Deadspeak? I didn't think there was a hardcover version available in the US? If there is I'd be interested in finding one.

It is from this site! Just e-mail Brian & Silky at the address on the above page link and they will give you all the information. And yes, it is the UK version.

Canker-What your saying is they sent you books without dust jackets, and if you return them they will be un-sellable? What idiots!!!

Also Deadspeak has only been done in hardback in the UK version. I did purchase it from Silky and I think the different cover and size mak it a unique addition to my collection.
