One of my main interest after reading is my martial arts training, namely Taekwondo and Kungfu. I took up both last year after starting uni. Is there any on the site who share this addiction? Which is what it has become for me, about 14 hours a week.

I used to teach karate in the north east of England, but I gave it up when I moved to London to start Uni, took up drinking instead! Got to brown belt though.

Yeah I share an interest in the martial arts!!! I am well into one called Baguazhang!! An internal Art BUT well cool in my opinion..I been doing this for about a year now and I'm still a damn beginner!!

I do have a question though. What exactly is Kung Fu??

I believe the correct translation of Kung Fu is "Skill Gained Over Time" So I suppose I am a Kung Fu Computer Programmer Lets face it we all gain skill at different things over time so as you see, err what exactly are you gaining skill at??

    Cool

Me too! I do baguazhang as well!

As a matter of fact, my new website has been consuming much of my time, the rest as Lord VP has said, has been with the art and not much time left over for posting. If anyone's interested, my site is all about bagua:

Moth, I have no idea what it means but I'll ask Master Ang {short old chinese bloke sterotype} about it.
Ehlana, Moth I haven't actually heard of that but I'll check out the website.

Oh I'm going to be in a lot of pain next week as I'm starting back at training after a three month break, help.

Argh! Lord VP, I can quite relate to your pain as my legs were shaking after only 10 minutes of a standing meditation exercise... I've been terrible about not practising and today I PAID... We'll see how it goes, but I'm sure if we practised daily this pain wouldn't happen!

Enjoy; let me know how your training goes...

Hey! I do Wing Chun Kuen while I'm off work. Training takes up about 10 hours a week, for the last 11 months of my life.

    Wink

Wolf, that is truly COOL. I am rather new (a year and bit) to martial arts but I have heard of Wing Chun (not of any specific styles, but there you go - still learning!) and I must admit it has crossed my mind that a Wamphyri with an internal art would be able to control his leech *heh* *shiver* what a thought!
