    Question

An important element of any good movie is accompanying music, and Necroscope would be no exception. Who should compose original music? What modern artists could contribute songs? What songs already exist that could reflect the events and ideas of Lumley? We all know that we should include some Ray Charles tunes, but please offer other suggestions.

    Great thread...

Think of stuff by white zombie and metallica for any wamphryi scenes....

as for harry and e-branch .... well i always thought RUSH would be able to do great soundtracks...

but something real heavy for the vamps ... and something hard driven for harry and the E-brach ....

Thanks for your input so far, I appreciate it and hope to see more. I've always thought White/Rob Zombie could contribute, and maybe Metallica (Like their cover of "Die, Die My Darling", or even the original) or "Enter Sandman" (hehehehe). I feel that a must entry would be Nine Inch Nail's "Dead Souls" for obvious reasons.

Well, Rashagoth, maybe not ALL classical, but some. "Night on Bald Mountain" and Wagner's "Flight of the Valkyries" would be good entries I think.

    One word - BAUHAUS!

    Alright, a few more words...

Bauhaus made The Hunger what it was, a great vamp film, but I agree with Icky on the classical music, Night on BARE Mountain (Mussorgsky) would be a great start to any horrific, scary, vampiric venture - well it was played at my wedding anyway!

Also, does anyone remember the background music in Bram Stokers Dracula, towards the end when they're racing for the castle? She's called Diamanda Galas, an awesome satanic/operatic singer and musician; one of her songs was also in Natural Born Killers. She'd be perfect for Wamphyri music.

After seeing Tim Burton's SLEEPY HOLLOW last week. I would think that the Necroscope movie be scroed in the classical style. Also, I nominate Danny Elfman or Ennio Morricone (The score for John Carpenter's THE THING anyone?).

Besides, you could always have one of those "INSPIRED BY THE MOTION PICTURE" CDs with all the rock artists.

I think Until it Sleeps by Metalica would be a good song to have on the sound track

Danny Elfman? I have been a fan of his for a long time. He rules! And Goth what else? hehe. The song from Bush..Mouth the remix not the first one is awesome. I think they used it in American Werewolf in Paris or something. Someting kinda techno like would be awesome. Fast paced. The Hunger...ah yes excelent movie..

Darkman, good idea. I have to agree with you on that one. Also, thanks Gothgirl for your support and for correcting me. Darkman, I think other good Metallica songs to use would be Unforgiven, their cover of Die, Die, Die My Darling, and One.
Also, if Rob Zombie is to contribute.. one word... SUPERBEAST!
