Ok we've seen posts for the best movies. Now it's time to see which movies have about the same entertainment value as fertilizer. Isn't there always a pessimist? Now one thing should be made clear: People shouldn't argue about the status of these movies... no one argued over which ones were the best, that I know of.. so lets respect eachothers opinions.
Here is my list.. your lists of course are encouraged. Which movies do you hate? Dont discriminate. Old or new, black and white or color. Let it rip.
Lost in Space
Armageddon
Rush
The Dunwich Horror
Blade
Passenger 57
Junior
Home Alone (entire series)
Romeo & Juliet (with Leo Decaprio)
From Dusk till Dawn 2
Puppet Master 5-7
all the Halloween movies
Titanic (and no not just because it was popular)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3&4
Magnolia

I dont understand movie like American Pie.. if they are trying to glorify teenage behavior and mentality, they are failing miserably... It's also funny how they seem to think that teens are the only sex-crazed age group.

The worst film I actually paid good money to go and see.
Absolute Beginners - Absolute Bollocks
I can't believe the same director (Julian Temple) directed Bowie's "Ashes to Ashes" video.

Worst Moovie?
Well, as Dusk 'Till Dawn is surely one of the best films ever made (Tarantino dialogue plus the idea of vampires as 'animals', very Lumleyesque in itself). Me & my drinking buddy decided to rent out DTD2 and get a 'trampy' (those special offers in the off-licence, the kind the tramps save up their pennies for, 8-for-£5 etc.)
Not only was the film the worst thing I'd EVER seen - and I do mean that - but the beer was out of date as well and that just spoilt the whole night.
DTD3's not too bad, but nowhere near the original.

Heh, worst movies that I've been unfortunate enough to spend $7 on...
Godzilla (I was expecting something much better from the creators of Stargate and Independence Day.)
The Cell
The Hollow Man
X-Men
Black Mask
The Mummy
Psycho (The re-make. Didn't like Vince Vaugh or Anne Heche. But I did like Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh.)
Congo
And a movie I rented-
In the Woods (Or something of that similar nature. Good idea-bad movie.)

Films I thought were really bad include:
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I just didn't get the hype. A little bit of gore and a lot of that stupid bitch screaming, in the end I wanted her shut up. I also really don't like looking down peoples throats or up their noses....which leads me on to....
Blair Witch, that movie wouldn't even scare my six year old son. I'm all for subtle, in your mind horror, I usually prefer it to slasher movies but in BW it was non-existant.
One other movie I hated was Henry - portrait of a serial killer, but that was just because it was just sick and not scary at all. It was the only film I've ever really wanted to turn off. Of course I never did, that morbid fascination kept me going right to the end.

I know what your saying it is like a car wreck you just can't look away from...
For me it has to be every movie made in the last fifteen years, heck the last twenty even. I think that the old black and white movies had to be some of the best movies ever made not because of special effects or any of that just because of the ability of the actors to ACT.
Look at the "stars" we have these days the acting abilities are non issues as they cant act. Keanu Reaves (sp?) is a prime example I wonder if he could portray more than one or two emotions. The greats are those that have been around a while like Lon Chaney or Boris Karloff or Humphry Bogart, lets see who isn't dead yet... Sean Connary (again sp?) or Anthony Hopkins.
But thats just my opinion, take it for whats it's worth

MY most hated film.... that's difficult... I really hate highlander 2... that was utter sh*te and ruined the plot from the first...
My girlfriend made me go and see a film called Hope FLoats (should have been called "Utter Schlop") and it was soooooooooooooooooooooo bad I didn;t let her have a choice of anything at the flicks for about 3 months after!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously it really was that bad... I WILL NOT be seeing Sandra Bullock (b*ll*cks more like) on the silver screen ever again.
Blair Witch... didn;t like it at the cinema, then someone bought me the film, and it's great on the tele... makes a much better film
Actually looks like one of my A-Level projects, but a big longer!!!!! So I used to live near a forest in woodford!

The worst movie is obviously the one that I haven't bothered to see.
Among those that I have seen, the one that felt the shortest from expectations was the fourth Superman film. The first two were absolutely superb, the third was very good, but the fourth licked 'nads. One expects sequels to decrease in quality, but that was a flat-out nosedive.

Heh, I agree with just about all the movies mentioned above.. especially Highlander 2...
That was pure garbage. I'd also include The Nightmare Before Christmas, some Kortag & I and some others went to see it, we walked out within the first 20 minutes, and saw Flesh & Bone instead... and that movie was boring as hell.
And Blade... it's not on my 'worst' list, but is at the top of my 'cheesiest movie' list ;P

Krynus,
I have to agree with your comment about Blade
That film and cheese do spring to mind! And the CG at the end was of the cheapest variety! The blood looked very fake, and the buildings shape was tooooooo perfect (as I recall). And what the hell is a "half-vampire"? Is this possible? I don't know.
Rant over
TOpas///.
Oh yeah, I saw what lies beneath at the weekend and thought that was a little bad... it took too long to get going and when it did, I had real trouble suspending my dis-belief... Harison for should go bad to playing Han Solo!

Although I didn't think it was such a bad film, I just couldn't understand American Psycho. Would someone please explain to me what the ending was all about? I know I am being incredibly dense but I can't work it out. Was it all in his imagination or what?
I have watched a few dodgy films, mainly due to the wife wanting to go and see them but as for the worst I have ever seen, it's got to be American Beauty. I know it won 200 Oscars and critics have labelled it a magnificent film but I cannot remember anything actually happening. OK, maybe not the worst film but definitely the most disappointing.

I want to add "The Ninth Gate", just rented it over the weekend... stupid frickin movie.
Boring, no action, and the movie ends with NONE of your questions being answered. There's only 1 or 2 good scene in the whole movie.
Oh, and let's not forget about Star Wars I. Not that it was a bad movie, but it didn't live up to it's expectations at all. Maybe there was just too much to be expected, but they did get a crappy actor to play Anakin. That kid showed no emotion at all.
