ok... some of you will know this, some wont. Was that an obvious thing to say??? yep

What was the first anthology Brian's work appeared in, who was the publisher, who was the editor, what was the story, and in which year was it published?

Nope, I didn't mean a collection of Brian's work, but a worthy guess, and the editor of Caller of the Black is the same guy...

I should probably, note that my question is a bit of a trick one... being there are 2 strories by BL in this anthology. I will however except one of 2 answers, being that the anthology was reprinted in the early 90's as an anniversary edition.

    Cheers,

I know the anthology, publisher (kind oif a given considering the august editor), the editor and even the year - I can't remember the titles though... I know where I could look them up but I'm determined to rattle this one out of my decidedly swiss-cheesed memory!

Well August Derleth, '67-'68 (I know Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos in '69), Arkham House - The Arkham Collector? Was one of the first stories Rising With Surtsy?

NO I said anthology... but you mentioned the right one - tales of the Chulhu Mythos and Rising with Surtsey was in the 92 reprint. I don't count the Arkham Collector as an anthology (althought it was collected together as one book) as it was a small press magazine type thing.

    Over to you Sang.

Sorry about the delay - been pretty busy here...

OK - Caller of the Black was the first, Inception explains his powers beyond other men - but what was the Titus Crow origin story, the one that details his first encounter with Darker Things and his eternal fight with Evil?

    Nice and easy...
