So the saga is coming to an end,ha I think not for the story and characters will live on in us whether it be in our dreams and imaginations or our writings and to take a quote from a genius mind "what has been, shall be". The future is a devious thing my friends and as we all know, so are the Whampyri.

The story will never end, as long as its loyal followers like us keep it alive!!!! Only we can convince brian of our addiction and our need for our necroscopic fix.

I think that the series is in need of closure. I applaude Mr. Lumley for ending it. A story as well thought out and equally loved as the Necroscope series deserves a real ending. Otherwise it would just devolve into the typical American comic book style of authors cranking out books without care for integrity just to keep hold of the demographic. I don't want that to ever happen. I love these stories too much! We have had a wonderful journey of more than 30 years in the Necroscope world. It's time has come to be ended. And I know that Brian wont end the series without making it all worth while for us readers. But just because he ends the series doesnt mean that prequel matierial can't be writen. I think that a Faethor saga would ROCK!! Think about it: How did he really become wamphyri? What about the battles he fought in? And of his love for the Gypsie princess (I forget her name right now)? Think about it.

Thanks for the welcome Canker. Santiago may be right about the necroscope saga needing closure but we must remember that vampires are tenacious, thay will keep coming back in whatever form, feathor , now theres a Wamphyri who I would love to know more about. Also what about the sunsiders, a look into there survival after the fall of the gate wouldf be wery interesting.

I agree with Santiago, a prequel series with the adventures/bio of the Wamphyri who came thru the gate(s) before E-branch or anyone knew about them,ie: a tie in to Dracula? maybe?

When I read, I can live the adventures, fight the battles and defeat the boredom.

We could perhaps convince a game company to create an online Necroscope game that would take place in Sunside/Starside.....much like the new Highlander Online game that is in the process of being created. It would basically be an open ended struggle between the Wamphyri, other Wamphyri, and the Szgany..with perhaps Esper groups thrown into the mix. It has huge potential. Perhaps I'll try and get some gaming industry friends to consider it if possible.

I dont like to think of it as the Necroscope world coming to an end. I've had the pleasure of reading and re-reading the books in the series for years, and even if there wont be anymore books to continue the beloved storyline, that wont stop me for reaching for my old copies and reliving the adventures. I feel sorry for those out there who are not aware of this fantastic series. they have no idea what fun they're missing!

I just recently became a Necrscope addict, and I have to say that I'm upset to see it end. Why not let it continue on? The world's neverending fight to save humanity.
