The answer is this...
When Brian Lumley was writing Blood Brothers he said in an interview that when the Vampire World trilogy was finished he would return to the major villan in the first book, with a novel entitled Dragosani Lives!
This was never written of course as by the time he'd finished Vampire World he'd decided to focus on Harry and new wamphyri characters with The Lost Years.
