I have closed the other thread and replaced it with this one.
http://killercon.com/ KillerCon Horror Convention August 26-29, 2010 Palace Station Hotel Las Vegas, NV Attendees from our crowd that we know of: Dave and Amber McDougle Andy Rixon Allen and Chris Koszowski Dave Willoughby Who is definitely coming. Don't be shy ... if you are attending specifically to see Brian and join us in the festivities ... do let us know. As stated in this month's update ... Programming will be developing in July. Brian will probably be doing two readings, possibly a Q&A session and naturally a mass autograph session. When I know definite what's set I'll inform you all as normal.

Well, this sounds awesome! Im still new to the site and forum so I'm still getting familiar with all of you. I noticed that the other thread about the Killer Con was closed so I'm posting here. It looks like quite a few from here are attending and I may be able to make it too. Im wondering though, what is it usually like? Does anyone have any photos? Thanks.

Sorry, no photos. This is the first KillerCon we're attending. We understand last year was really a good one, the first KillerCon, this one coming up is the second. Allen and Chris Koszowski and F. Paul Wilson were there and they said although it was small it was a good one.
There's always lots to do. Dealer's selling their books in the dealer's room and there's always an art show. And most importantly of all there's a mass autograph sessions where you can get all your books signed ... Brian loves to sign books. ![]() As soon as the programming is finalized in July I'll be able to post here exactly what Brian will be doing.

Okay Folks!
The programming is up on the con's website but here is what Brian is doing: FRIDAY AUG. 27th: 11 am- MODERN LOVECRAFTIA -- Lovecraft's legacy and impact on contemporary work. Bill Gagliani (mod.) Brian Lumley, Cody Goodfellow, Adam Niswander. 1 pm- Panel- DOES IT HAVE TO BE HORROR? -- While few horror titles actually crack mainstream publishing, much less the bestseller lists, the active ingredients of horror are playing out through almost every other popular genre: from crime to paranormal romance to YA to science fiction and fantasy, not to mention so-called literary work. Why is some of the most popular and powerful horror coming out in other guises? Are we winning by stealth? Or are we losing our juice as a genre? John Skipp (mod.), Cody Goodfellow, Tananarive Due, Stephen Barnes, Brian Lumley, Hal Bodner. 4 pm- reading- Brian Lumley 5 pm- Opening Ceremonies with our Guests of Honor: Brian Lumley, Tananarive Due, John Skipp and Cody Goodfellow, and Stephen Barnes. SATURDAY AUG. 28th: 3 pm- Q&A with our Guests of Honor 5 pm- Mass Autograph Signing! SUNDAY AUG. 30th: 11:30 am - Reading - Brian Lumley 2 pm- Closing Ceremonies 3 pm-Dead Dog Party in the Hospitality Suite!

Just an update for all - the Wolfe has landed and met up with the Master and his keeper, and soon Rixy will be joining the fray! The hotel might be a bit dodgy but the company will more than make up for it! Looking forward to seeing everyone as well!

Killercon 2010
I have to say, I was not too impressed with what happened. The day the conference started the bills couldn’t be paid so Killercon was moved from one hotel to another. After a few hours of asking around I was finally told where to go. Of course an email was sent out but I didn’t bring a computer to Vegas so this didn’t help me at all. I only made it to the conference on two days, which is very depressing, but after meeting Brian, Silky, and the remainder of the guests/writers, things didn’t seem so bad. Especially after getting my books signed. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Brian and Silky; you are awesome! If it weren’t for you that would have been a wasted trip. I can’t thank you enough!!! You may be happy to know I am expanding my fiction readings too! Of course, I have to finish reading your books first. I can’t wait for your next event to get my picture signed.

I agree, it was a bit upsetting with the way it got moved last minute. I had an email show up the day of, luckily on my iphone, but as you said, if you didn't have a way to get email or internet access....
Getting stuck at the Palace Station as Rixy and I did, we have had to take cabs everywhere, which really blows. But, alcohol made things better. It was still Vegas so that makes up for a lot and I do believe Wrath made a concerted effort to have a great Con, the situation just got out of his hands.
