I sold a very unique book about 15 years ago. It was an oversized, hardback, yellow, smooth covered book. It had no dust jacket. House of Cthulhu and Other Tales of the Primal Land. I have regretted it since that day. Very beautifully illustrated. I do not believe it ever had a dust jacket, so it is not the one I commonly see, and have bought, that is available on sites. I have contacted everyone I could to try to track it down, including Silky and Jim Pitts. I was sold thru ebay and they have no records of sales after so many years. If anyone has any knowledge of where I might find this book it would be very, very much appreciated.

Rereading Mythos Omnibus again.. Titus Crow is a legend, Transition is unreal but the best IMO is Spawn of the Winds...awesome storytelling. Hank is the man!

Got all the Primal land collections and I am geeked! I'm trying to read slowly and savor every last bit. I always loved the whole Crow saga and this is adding some serious flavor. Learning about Exior is so great. Everywhere I looked before I found this place was out of print and long gone. The books I found on Amazon were brand spanking new aside from the one from the Staten Island Public Library (which is pretty cool if I do say so myself) and hella cheap. That is allowing me to drop some more serious coin on a purchase from your (our?) very own Nathan; The Compleat Crow. It's going to be the most I've spent on a book outside of school texts in my youngish l…

Right, had an idea kids and kidettes, not sure if it will work but I’ve run it past Tops and he reckons it’s good so I’m going to give it a try anyway. The basic premise of this is that someone will come up with a topic or question and give their view on it and you lot basically throw in your views/arguments for and against backing them up with facts and points from the books and views in general. The question must be something taken from the worlds of our beloved Mr Lumley, but it can come from any of his books or short stories. The winner of the Debate is the person who can come up with the best explanation of their view on the subject citing reasons evidence e…

Greetings. I just started reading Titus Crow Vol.1, The Burrowers Beneath. It's a tad difficult for me to follow what with all the reference to other books and tomes, and other Great Old Ones and Cthulhuian Bretheren. I almost feel like I've missed something... Kind of like I've started reading in the middle of a story, and I should definately know more of what's going on. Is this book a good place to start? By the way...I've not even read any HPL! I know, I know. Blasphemy! But I had these book sitting unopened for too long, and they were beckoning me. I'd greatly appreciate any direction any of you more knowledgeable folk might have to offer.

Just finished re-reading Khai of Khem, what a masterpiece it is too.Its been a few years since I read it last and I'd forgotten just how good it is.Brians writing skills and imagination are clear to be seen in this book.Without ruining it for anyone who hasn't read it the section where Khais family are held captive is one of the most intense pieces I have ever read.Truly amazing. How great would it be to see this made into a movie also.It has all the ingredients to be a blockbuster.... Although considering how long Necroscope is taking maybe not,and anyway they'll probably cast old Harrison Ford as Khai. Now I'm ready for Harry and the Pirates,I started K…

Silky has recently confirmed that though Brian will no longer be writing novels, he hasn't retired completely and will still be writing short stories. So which short stories would you like to see more of? The Dreamland series had quite a few great little stories in it, also the Primal Lands - that had some of my favourites. Not forgetting Titus Crow and his many short adventures. Would you like to see more of the old and familiar, or maybe something totally new? Personally, I think there's scope for a lot more in the Primal Lands. I think there's room for more in each of them actually but I would most like to read more about wizzards, Llamia and strange old Go…

I read this when it was first released, and can still remember several of the stories vividly. I have a copy of the OOPS edition, that was accidentally released without all of its interior illustrations. I have it up for sale on ebay right now. I'm keeping my second copy for the collection though. Mark/ruderabbit

I've had enough of the Necroscope movie thread. I love the idea, so much so that I'm getting frustrated with the inactivity. I know this is no-ones fault, but I need a distraction. So if there is ANY other novels, tales from Brian you think would be a great movie, TV episode, short film?? I would love to see something like Stephan King's Nightmares & Dreamscapes. Episodes containing short stories by Brian, but done a little better. It probably won't happen, but you never know, a producer with $$$ may pick up Fruiting Bodies, Dagon's Bell or read about Titus Crow and get enthralled like the rest of us. So throw your ideas around, the producer with $$$ may even read t…

I am not new to Brian Lumley's works and have a fairly full collection. The problem is that I prefer mass market paperback for his novels, and trade paperback or mass market paperback for short story collections. I really do prefer MM paperback over trade paperbacks and never got into hardcover books. I am just wondering if there is a reliable source to find out when and if any of his recent works will be in MM paperback. I am looking for a date for: Haggopian and Other Stories The Taint And Other Novella The Primal Lands Series (I know that they already are MM but I would be willing to wait until the are re-released in MM paperback, if at all) Any future book…

What happened to the Lumley wants list? I stumbled upon it the other day, now I can't find it:confused:. It lasted a few years so it must of been popular. I was going to post on it, so I will have to start a fresh one. I've only just started collecting, as before my new PC and my internet era I didn't know where to find anything special. Local bookshops in Australia only have massmarket PBs and I have read them to death. Anyway, if anyone has spare copies of any of Brians works, I'm interested in buying them. I am restocking my entire collection so if you need space on your bookshelf, a bit of extra cash, or you need to empty a box of old PBs even, I can probably hel…

Both tales are great pieces of short horror literature, but they have some similarities that can't be ignored. A Voice in the Night is probably William Hope Hodgson's best horror tale. In both tales you have an older male character plagued with a condition that is virtually identical in both stories. In both you have the spouse of this older gentleman afflicted worse by the condition. Both tales also have a sympathetic visitor (ok 'Voice' had two, but you get the idea...). Both stories have similar endings (the horror comes from the fact that the suffering is not yet over). I suspect that one tale may have 'inspired' the other but both are very good...

I just recently finished the book and I got two questions... 1. Charlie Trace had a brother he had no name but I know he was malformed. Was Charlie the son of Khumenri or was his brother or were both the sons of Khumenri? 2. Is their a sequel to Demogorgon?

Long story short: I was lucky enough to find "Iced on Aran" in a used bookstore...only to realize later that it's the 4th in a series I don't have. Still, I already kinda know David Hero from "Necroscope and Other Weird Heroes!" Question: Is it a book I could read on its own or will I be totally lost?
