  3. Hello everyone, I’d like to enlist your help on a new project I’m working on. I’ve set up a new web site I’m calling The Ultimate Mythos Book List where I’m listing every printed work set in or using parts of the Cthulhu Mythos that I can find. I’ve currently got a ton of stuff up and am continuing to work. Here’s where you Mythos experts come in: please take a look at the list and let me know what’s missing. I know that I have left some things out. The list is here: http://lovecraft.cjb.net Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks, Jacob

Hi all - bit new to this so be gentle on me - lol. I'm confused... (a usual state but at least this time there's a focus)... Tara Khash books/stories... how many? what order? which books? Y'see this site has different lists of the books/stories depending on where you look. Should it be: a. As listed in the Primal Land series which has House of Cthulhu at the top of the list & no Hrossak! anywhere in sight (which claims to be Tales of a primal land volume 2) or.. b. As listed in the 'reading order' page where Hrossak appears but not where logic would dictate (ie as volume 2). Does the 'Compleat Tara Khash' really mean in contains all the stories c…

  5. Started by DexX,

It had been sitting on my bookshelf for maybe a decade, bought soon after I read Necroscope but never read. I had only ever read the first two Necroscope books, too. The other night I was reinstalling Windows (wheee!) and needed something to pass the time while waiting around. Sitting by my elbow were Necroscopes 3 and 4. Off I went... Wow! The Source rocks, and would make one helluva stand-alone movie, even if (wash my mouth out) Harry Keogh was lifted out of it completely. Deadspeak wasn't as good, but was still a fun (if rather grim) read. Stuck for something to read next, up came my poor, forgotten copy of Psychomech. Damn! Great stuff! How has thi…

With all the newer faces around I thought I'd revive this old game. Here are the rules for those who haven't played... If you are able to answer a standing question correctly and are then confirmed by the asker, it is then your turn to ask the next question. Please wait to be confirmed just in case your answer is not complete enough for the asker. (Sometimes answers can be confirmed by others if asker is gone for more than a day or so.) This thread is for any question about anything Lumley except Necroscope. There is also a thread for 'Necroscope knowledge' that you can play along with in the Necroscope Saga forum. If you need to look up an answer in the…

I just finished Khia of Khem (the re-release in US version). What a great book. I liked it from front to back. My only complaint was that the dust jacket LIED big time. The dust jackets inside small preview gave me a totally incorrect notion of what to expect. Anyways, how do I get me some of them Nubian bodyguards.

Wasn't sure where to stick this post as it can encompass anything lumley so I stuck it here as it seemed to be the most impartial place to put it. Right what is your top five Lumley books ever??? Now this can be anything, it can include short stories compilation books or novels. So will it be Necroscope all the way or will they not even make your hit list, maybe Khai is your favourite...??? Here's mine: In at 5 it's Vampire world book 1: Blood Brothers Down to 4 it's Lord of the worms (Titus Crow short story) New at 3 The Ship of Dreams (What a book, it has everything from bare breasted chicks to arson petty theft and drunkenness...... Splendid ) Just …

To older Lumlians who know me as Mr Khem, I was quite chuffed on reading the October Update that next Autumn Tor will at last get round to republishing the World's greatest book, Khai of Ancient Khem, (and in hardback as well). Now that will be a tasty addition to the collection.

To all you fans of great horror. I cannot recommend enough a new graphic novel called Lovecraft, about...wait for it, yes, H.P.Lovecraft. Truly disturbing with some out of this world art work, by an Argentinian guy called Enrique Breccia. Read it late last night and it left me very uneasy when I had to turn out the light. It was that good. An expensive tome at £18 for a hardback, but one of the best buys I've made for a while The story revolves round the life story of HP from birth to death and his maybe fictional relationship with the Necronomicon. Those fans of his work will meet Shub-Niggurath, Arkham and a Pickman painting. It's weaved thtough with real events in …

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed all the DeMarigny series of books (oh!,and Titus Crow, too, nearly forgot about him!),it must be said that there is a strong resemblance to the Doctor who has been travelling in space and time for quite a while now,who I am sure everyone will be quite familiar with.A machine that is bigger inside than out that travels in space and time!.The Doctor, though, doesn't go and crash into planets, get himself turned into a bionic "superman" and then bugger off with a gorgeous tart on a pleasure planet and leave his naive assistant to get on with it!.I must admit that I enjoy the villains more in the Cthulhu mythos as they are more down to earth.Or i…
