I finally got my grubby little mits on a Headline edition of Mad Moon of Dreams... Paper quality's a bit nicer than the one I currently have it sits so nicely with the first two of the series... Also picked up a spare Underwood cover Psychamok - a bit tatty but... All this for the grand price of... wait for it... NOWT! Knowing someone in the secondhand trade is great sometimes!

I know a lot of you have been reading the Titus Corw stuff recently, as as I plan to reread them in the near future, it seems like a good time to get some view and opinions on them. I personally really like the titus crow shorts, but then I've always been a fan of the shorter stories. Anyway, over to you guys. Tops

Hi All, This topic is being placed due to the 3 other topics already available on this book, there is no need for 3 topics, so one will suffice, the other topics will be locked, and will contain a link to here. The new book is a very good one and ripe for much conversation and contribution from members of the board. Personally I'm working slowly through it due to other personal commitments, but what I've read (2 thirds of it) has been wicked. I started on the Dead Eddy this morning, so any thoughts on that from me will be held up for the time being. As for the other stories, I've read just about everything Brian has written and love most of it(not a big f…

Right I'm posting this topic for you Tops, my question to all of you is what was your favourite none Necroscope story in The Weird Hero's book and why, and is there any other Hero or short story of Brian's creation that you would like to have seen make an appearance in this book and of course why ? I personally don't have a favourite yet as I'm new to Titus Crow, David Hero and Eldin the Wanderer but if I had to pick one it would probably be Lord of the worms with Titus Crow which I thought was fantastic. I also can't comment on any other of Brian's works except Necroscope as I have never read anything else of his although after sampling the delights of Miste…

Heres one for the boffins... i recently purchased a paperback edition of the "return of the deep ones" collection. Reading the introduction / footnotes, i was perplexed by the following quandary: Inception was initially published in a limited print (predating the complete crowe considerably). What book was this first printed in? i was certain that it was in an early ganley edition but couldnt find out for the life of me where... or was it in one of the early a5 size mags???? anyone got the "knowledge"?

anyone in the UK got this yet? after speaking to local (well established book shops), its going to take a month to ship and will be costly. Likewise amazon uk are quoting 1-2 weeks possible ship time. anyone seen it available in any UK book shops?????

was browsing a cheaping bookshop 2day and found a lumley short story title called "the sun, the sea and the scream" in a stephen jones "dark voices" Pan compilation. Can anyone confirm if this has appeared in any other title? As i certainly havent heard of this short story before or read it anywhere else. Could it be an obscure story? [ 11-02-2001 08:32 AM: Message edited 1 time, lastly by VonDarkmoor ]

There's always lots of talk about a Necroscope movie. Opinions are divided - as they should be With a subject so close to the hearts of many, it's always a tough call. With the recent re-release of Psychomech from Tor, what would be your thoughts on a film version of this fine book ? Would Psychomech be too 'weird' for Hollywood and the unsuspecting public? Who would you cast as Corporal Richard Allan Garrison? or Willy Koenig, or Thomas Schroeder? Your thoughts, please [ 08-25-2001 04:42 PM: Message edited 1 time, lastly by SpOOkshow ]

  16. Started by Darth Nater,

Part I The whole idea of the pit beneath the old city is definately creepy. And the ritual performed there had some nice bits of grisly detail. After absorbing the two treacherous Iraqis and bubbling up from the pit needing a third, Guigos (I wonder what three names that name was derived from?) cannot find his third 'employee' and so must absorb a donkey...a beast that carried "The Good One." I thought that was interesting, (and funny) along with the parallel involving the ten plagues of Egypt during the ritual...frogs, lice, flys, locusts, etc. But in Chapter four...!? Speaking of funny, Jase... Twenty one years later, when Khumeni was speaking with Willis, with…

Im getting to the end of the primal lands books, i should finish "sorcery in shad" today. But one thing i cant seem to get out of my head whilst reading is the image of tarra kash being conan the barbarian. i.e. as in the films acted by arnold swartzenegger (sp?). I keep for some reason thinking that this is what a hrossak looks like. However all the pics in the hard editions show tarra as being a skinny amazon type lionclothed character. is he a tarzan or a conan? opinions please. [ 08-21-2001 07:34 PM: Message edited 1 time, lastly by Nathan ]

  25. I just finished the CCD trilogy and just didn't understand what happened. I guess that knathnid and chuthlu are the same entity, and that the reason the benign elder becomes evil is because, after millions of years, all he remembers is that he had to leave paradise. So this is the timeline: Beginning of time:knathnid and other elders arrive after 'running' from CCD. 1 billion yrs later:knathnid now cthulhu other elders are other CCD 3 billion yrs later:titus crow enters the scene. So: How were chthulhu and other CCD's imprisoned? Were the CCD the on…
