I thought this could be an interesting topic, plus you would get an insight into your Lumley brethren. Alright here goes, if you were to become Wamphyri what type of Wamphyri would you be? Meaning that through some form or other you are now Wamphyri, you recieved an egg, breathed in spores, ascended from a liuetenant doesn't really matter how. So now you are Wamphyri, how would you act? I usually ascribe to the idea that absolute power corrupts absolutly, but maybe not. Would you be like Karen retaining a lot of your humanity (for you females out there, using your sexuality against others?). Or maybe like Shaitan pure schemer, with an unhealthy dose of super pride? Wo…

Yeah, I'm talkin' 'bout you, Newbie's. Here's a little gift for you and all the lurkers out there, just in case you don't read the long-ago newsletters. I was inspired to dredge it up after I read the song Silky added to the end of her section this past newsletter. 'Twas the night before Bloodwar and all through the spire The Wamphyri were stirring, their blood all afire. Curtains shrouded the windows, hung with great care, So that the enemy would not see them there. Wratha up top, with her plots and her schemes, Visions of conquest a-dance in her dreams. Lichloathe below (he had already flown), Hunting an Enemy soon to be known. Canker w…

SCIENTISTS have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in attempts to develop suspended animation for humans. Read more: http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,15739502-13762,00.html This is crazy! I can't imagine the wonders and dangers that can come from something like this. Extremely incredible though.

Well it’s finally happened something is coming along that is going to make a true collector out of me and I’m going to buy a book I already own, after all the fuss I’ve made I do feel a bit of a fool but on reading this months Necroscope news (nice 1st time piece by the way Sharon, proud of you) I came across plans for a special edition Necroscope in Brian’s Necro quotes and I know for a fact that nothing in heaven or earth is going to stop me trying to get my grubby little mitts on a copy of that. Oh the shame…I’ve once again contradicted myself, so make with the public humiliation already as I thoroughly deserve it for saying you lot were mad and geeky. Particular …

I've got quite a few already but wanted some help covering all my bases in case I missed one or ten... Think of any word that begins with the letter 'L' that can be associated with the Necroscope saga... Little words, Large words... doesn't matter. Thanks in advance.

I know a couple of you are worried, so just to let y'all know, I'm OK. I go to work early so even though I travel that way, I was too early to be affected. Although not sure how (if!) to get home tonight! I can't reply to texts at the moment, networks are all screwed. Hope any other London residents/workers (Gayle?) are OK

During the recent Lumlian social event (debauched drinking binge) me Tops and DC had a discussion about books, and they were telling me how they had that version of such and such a book and this version of the same book and so on and so forth. Now I know I’ve only been collecting books for a few years now, but what I don’t get is that once you own a book and have read it what in the hell do you want another copy for? Just because it’s got a different cover, is buy a different publisher or it’s a hard back as opposed to a paper back, I just don’t get it what a waste of money. Tops and DC promised me I’d get a hard time off them and most others if I posted this but…

Just to add to the Big Brother feeling I'd like to post this topic in which I would like you to bitch and moan about people, work mates and others in genaral cos if I don't get an outlet soon I'm gonna burst. I'd like to kick off first with the guy who sits opposite me who the other week informed us that quote "Did you know that the Germans started world war 1, I never knew that I saw it on discovery the other day, fancy that starting 2 world wars" this guy gets paid more than me hence my gripe. Good or Bad you decide

Is it just me or are the general majority of men just overly large and hairy children, I’m struggerling with the guys in my office at the moment with a debate on “Boys and their toys” The lads most of whom are in there mid to late thirties insist on buying power tools, samurai swords, guns and all other such completely useless items with the sole purpose of charging round their houses and gardens pretending there some sort of futuristic/ancient warrior general or Jedi knight exactly like a five year old would. I mean one of them openly admits to closing all the curtains while his wife is out at work so that he can turn off all the lights stick a piece of luminous …

Just read the old posts that Helm put up in the birthdays topic and found myself smiling like an idiot, I would have been laughing out loud if I wasn't at work right now supposed to be doing overtime! They were really funny, it seems like ages since we've had that kind of rant/discussion. What I found to be most funny was that I remembered the discussions and kinda knew what was coming next, I was astonished by my own memory! Well done Helm, you made my day! (Back to work now)

i've read all of Barkers books except for Galilee, Sacrament and Coldheart Canyon, i like to know how they compare to his other work. At one time i started to read Sacrament but just couldn't get into it, i don't even remember what it was about except that it was nothing like the others, i think. So, should i give them a try or not waste my time?

I found this on the H2G2 website and thought some people here might like to respond - some of the questions are related to threads that have happened here before and you'll be helping somebody in a Literature of the Supernatural class (how come they never did that when I was in school?!) Link - may take a few moments to open... [ May 08, 2005, 06:15 AM: Message edited by: Exsanguinator ]
