I got the idea for this while checking out the 'Old Wamphyri Statues Update' thread. Shadoe with his Shaithis bust and diorama set up all neat and tidy in a curio cabinet with his copy of The Source. So I've decided to start a thread for anyone who'd like to show off what they've got. Now I know that not everyone is a 'Neccie' like me, (Get it? Neccie...Trekkie) but I want to see your collections. Big or small, common or rare, good condition or bad. It doesn't matter. Books, comics, games, posters, or whatever you have. It's not a contest, just a place to show off and be proud. Five years ago mine consisted of 6 paperbacks and The Last Aerie in hardcover...Whate…

Let's try to get some discussion going in here again! Any movies this year new release (or recently in theaters) or coming out on disc that anyone is itching for? Other than the obvious Necroscope movie that we all want to see, of course.

Has anyone else seen this? What a great movie - the humor was perfectly placed and the horror was well done too - suspenseful even though it shouldn't have been. Discuss!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylg5EJl83N4 Now we have a remake a Fright Night, but we still don't have any more info on getting these great books done as movies? Something is wrong here.

Just watched this and feel very different than I thought I would, it felt almost like........I can't find the words......visually it was a vampire film with a child but the Childs innocence brought the whole film to life as it really didn't matter about the story but was an acceptance of the monster, nothing like justification just the raw this is what I am, accept me! I loved it but not for the reasons I thought I would or could of, it felt like a vampire film in the purest sense, not a gore or fright fest but a homage to the basic thing that is a vampire and the core of all that is loved by us! I'm rambling now and off to watch match of the day, 19 times baby xxx (…

Don't know if anyone is interested, but this caught my eye: http://www.selfmadehero.com/news/2011/02/news-flash-2011-belongs-to-cthulu/ An evening of Lovecraft-based entertainment, with readings, comedy and film viewings in London on April 15. Not sure yet if I'll be able to go, as it's a busy weekend for me (birthday and my first festival headline show), but if anyone else fancies it, I'm sure I could be forced along!

This TV series, based on the 'Sookie Stackhouse' novels by Charlaine Harris, is due to be shown on TV in the UK soon (on FX, home of the excellent Dexter!) US buddies (without any spoilers please!)... is it any good? Is it worth watching if you're a fan of the books (which ashamedly I am!), or is an appalling waste of time? I may give it a go, as I do like the books in a 'vampire lite' kinda way, but I have a suspicion it's going to be drivel! Although the gal playing Sookie ('Rogue' from the X-Men films) is quite cute! Opinions anyone?

Is anyone else enjoying this TV series as much as I am (which is lots!)? Awesome zombie action and a truly gripping storyline... looking forward to episode 4 tonight! It's being shown on FX in the UK, home of other top shows such as Dexter and True Blood ) On a side note: does anyone else wish Brian had done a series of zombie novels (I am slightly zombie obsessed atm!)

I've been trying to catalogue my books at Library Thing and thought while I was at it I post some pics of some hard to find books and magazine. This one I'm sure a lot of you have seen already. A collection of poetry. Ghoul Warning & Other Omens from Spectre Press 1983 only 80 signed hard covers. Then Ganley and Necronomicon Press released Ghoul Warning & Other Omens…& Other… in 1999. Ganley edition reprints all Spectre edition poetry plus several other poems, new intro, 11 illustrations and 3 stories, 50 words each, which can be found in the Companion

Whats your take on it.... Its come a long way since the 80s 3D.I caught Avatar in the cinema a while back, truly fantastic would sum up my feelings on it. The effects were dynamite imo and made up for the storyline which was lacking slightly..all films should be made like this for me,but its gonna have to be filmed in 3D,otherwise it aint gonna be as good,I saw Clash of the Titans lately as well, effects were added in later apparentley which for me is kinda cheating... Anyway ,they're my thoughts, anyone else..

As we're now in the season I thought it might be nice to share favourite films to watch (if any) at Christmas. The reason I'm wondering is because every year in my household we have to watch Die Hard, according to Lee it's the best Christmas film ever! For me it's a Nightmare before Christmas, but watching it at Christmas isn't compulsary!

Anyone seen this? I saw it on Friday night. It was really well done, though the woman in the "original footage" was quite obviously made up so that her face was really white!

So I'm in W H Smith right (no Lumley on the shelves by the way) and I starts looking at the books, picks up Wolves of the Calla puts it down again, peruse a couple more shelves and flick through a few vampire type books that catch my eye. The Vampire war triology being one until I realise it's a warhammer book paahhh. And that's when I come across Dracula The Undead, apparently written in part by a Stoker relative based on Stokers orginal notes he was making for wait for it, Dracula 2! I've never heard of it and my question is has anybody else or anybody actually read it? I almost bought it there and then but decided against it and thought I'd throw it out there…

Ok - we all have our top five or six - or fifty or sixty, but pick one - JUST ONE - that you have to watch this time of year and still gives you the chills... Mine? I have to say SAW still is creepy as hell to me. The whole series of films is great but the first one was such a mind-bender and gory... love it. There are many others but let's keep it to just one...

Related to Tops post about horror sections in bookstores - is it just a Best Buy situation or is it world and brand-unrelated-wide? The horror section of movies continues to get smaller and smaller every month - they now only have a 8 foot wide area that is 5? shelves high and A-Z is crammed in there. Two years ago when i first moved down here and went to the local best buy there were two aisles of horror with all sorts of cheese and good titles to choose from. What the Hell Happened? Does no one watch horror anymore? The same is happening to the Sci-Fi section as well i might add - but frickin' anime is growing everyday. NO ONE watches anime! ok - at least no one ADM…

I have been to Vegas many times, but never had an ordeal like this group of guys had. This movie was absolutely hilarious! If you are looking for a good comedy to go see, I highly recommend this one. A lot of language and some nudity, but what good movie doesn't have that, right?

Starting to wonder if anyone on this site sees movies anymore? Just got done posting a quick word on my Blog so I figured I would repost it here and get some comments. Let me know what you guys think! "Just needed to put up a note about the latest movie I saw in the theater. JJ Abrams actually put out one hell of a movie, IMHO - which was a bit of a shock to me. Granted, I went in with low expectations so I wouldn't be let down, but that worked out well. The wife and I saw Star Trek our last night in Vegas (I know, I know - why see a movie in Vegas - you can see a movie anywhere - but Amber and I don't exactly get to see each other lately - she has been out west …

Who on here has interest in this movie? I would assume a lot of you, but you never know... Here is a link to an interview with McG explaining the PG-13 rating and various other bits: http://scifiwire.com/2009/05/mcg-tal...nator-salv.php Personally - I think he is lying to cover his ass. A screwdriver in the shoulder now warrants an R rating? Bullcrap. And not wanting a topless scene because it is cliche? Does he remember all the gratuitous shots in Charlie's Angels he did? Bah... hope the movie doesn't suck...
