Hello, All. I recently acquired a resin cast sculpture of a chacter called " Demon Wolf ". It was sculpted by Greg Polutanovich. After reading the Vampire World trilogy I came to realize than this sculpture very much reminds me of Brian's description of Canker Canison in the books. I just imagine the sculpture capturing Canker in mid metamorphosis with his elongating jaws, baying to the stars for his Silver Moon Mistress to hear. When I paint this piece I'll have Canker and the wolf-like Wamphyri on my mind, as it will affect the end result. I'll be sure to post images when I'm done painting it. Just thought some of you might find this interesting.

Hi, I have been reading the Necroscope books for a while now, starting with 'Vampire Wars' and then starting from the beginning. I think the books are superb and am about to start reading 'The Lost Years'. I have just finished 'Deadspawn' and was a bit confused by the ending. What is the link between Harry and Shaitan? and where did Shaitan decend from? Thanks - M

Am I going mad or does the Swiss cryogenic facility featured in "The Touch" appear in another Lumley story? My waters are telling me that its in the Psychomech trilogy, but im a bit fuzzy. Ring anyones bell ... or do I have to read the trilogy to satisfy that niggly bit at the back of my mind?!

I have an advance copy. I know a couple of others also have a copy of the advance, but I thought I would start a thread. I've got another book to finish first (which I am forcing myself to do), and then onto the touch, which I've already read some of. goosebumps? yes I think so. Tops

Reading through the Necroscope books again, it got me thinking what a raw deal Harry got in his life, and undeath. To start off, his father dies when he is an infant. Then his mother is murdered by his stepfather. He is then sent to his relatives in England, where he is bullied for a time at school. When he grows up and is recruited by E-branch, he is killed by Dragosani on his first assignment. He then gets his powers leeched by Harry Jnr before escaping into Alec Kyles body. This body is years older than the one he had. Next off he has his mind screwed by BJ Mirlu and E-Branch where he loses more years. When he finally finds his son, Jnr screws with his he…

**Warning...possible spoilers** I have to say that recently I lent my copy of Necroscope to a work friend of mine as she told me she likes watching horror movies and wouldn't be adverse to reading them...so she read it....she took her time mind you, but over last weekend, she walked into waterstones in manchester and bought ALL FIVE of the Necroscope books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She loves them! and she is also now coming with me (when i pay for the tickets!) to the convention! SO i have made a recruit Anyway, my question is, what is your favourite bit in any of the Necroscope books, leave it to the first five and it can be the most gorie…

Hi all - Im new here. but Ive been a massive Necroscope fan since 1992, when I was first drawn to, at the age of 21, the first 2 Necroscope books and held them side by side to join up the 'life thread/pseudopods' on the front covers to make a bigger picture. I knew then that these were something special. And then - after that, The Source, aaaahhh, the blood truly became the life. Anyway, long story short. When I recently heard, via this website, that a new Necroscope book was coming out, after Avengers, I got very excited. As an author myself (not published yet, but hope to next year) I have a writer's mind, and having read every Necrocope book more than once (sometim…

Hey all, just checking in again to say that I'm starting Deadspeak tonight having finished The Source today at lunch. Before this I never knew the feeling of wanting to just close one book and start the next as if it was just another turn of the page. Wow, what a ride. Sorry if I'm just a gushing newly-bitten babbler right now, but I can't help it!

Hi... Im new here, but have been a huge Necroscope fan since July 1988. I thought that, being new, and a fan of Necroscope series and sequel series, I would tell you guys how I became a fan... I was riding the train to town. I live in Newcastle, Australia, and the train trip isnt that long. When I reached Newcastle, I climbed off the train and sat for a few minutes on a platform bench. There, beside me was a black paper back book. I looked at the cover and read 'Brian Lumley Necroscope'. Having absolutely no idea whos book it was I asked the nearby people, none of them said they knew who owned it. So, I decided to take the book to the second hand book shop to…

But probably won't A "what if" book. What if Harry had of stayed in our world and let his leech take full control. That'd be a potent book.

I was trolling in the "history of the aerie" and I found an old topic i started long ago, and I thought that since there was so much new blood here that it might be interesting to bring up the topic again. My query was: If you were wamphyri, what kind of evil monsters would you breed/turn in your aerie (or countryside villa, in the case of Yulian )? I must say i'm still quite partial to vasagi's carpet monsters, and I'd love to see the outcome of an enthralled ferret...

Well someone has to do it. Time to separate the have from the have nots. Lets discuss The Touch. I think Brian's writing skills are excellent in this book. Probably the best he has done. Everything just seems to keep flowing. He really did a great job. The story is good too, but I personally think it is far from the best Necroscope book. It hardly felt Necroscope-ish at all. The "new" Necroscope is hardly a Necroscope. Maybe he is more realistic in how he deals with his new gifts, but personally I find him not very exciting as a Necroscope. He is interesting, just not very exciting. As someone else said in the other thread, maybe this should have been under the title …

Right, I've seen posts about favourite, this that and the other, but not - yet at least - one to do with favourite covers. For me it's a toss up between The Last Aerie and Defilers.

I just had to start a thread about this character. I was just reeling from the description of Eygor, the way he metamorphosed himself, and used bits of fallen warriors and beasts to re-constitute into an unimaginable beast. Lumley is incredible...I never tire of reading the way he describes the beasts of the Wamphyri, the 'watchers' of their manses. I was trying so hard to imagine what Eygor finally looked like, fused to the refuse pit wall with his scythed arms. I'm going to sit down sometime soon and do a sketch of it. I envision a painting H.R. Giger did for the Poltergeist II film, the 'Great Beast'. Oh and how I love to envision the Wamphyri Warriors sputtering a…

I thought I'd share this rare little gem with you all. I'd bid on it myself, but I have enough projects going on at this time. < http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&item=140033368233&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 This piece is very rare. I'm not sure who sculpted it, but it was released from a company called Classic Plastic. I remember seeing an ad for this and a Shaithis with Szgany full figure resin kit. That was a long ago.

In most instances of fictional literature, injecting elements of reality into the narrative subtracts from the overall mystique and escapism that said literature is intended to provide. Perhaps some of the most potent examples of this truth lay in the sensual, preternatural world of the vampire. I find it truly difficult to reconcile some feats of the undead living among us with modern understanding of natural and biological sciences. Indeed, should one try to analyze both the biochemisty and the physics of Dracula transmuting his physical form into the least cohesive state of matter, one would be likely to topple over from the debilitating effects of multiple anyeurisms.…

Does anyone know if they are planning to re-release the Vampire World Trilogy in hardcover? I saw awhile back the first few books were re-released in hard cover up to Deadspawn (which I was able to get), but I have not seen any of the others. I need to buy the first book in the trilogy, as it is the only one I don't have. I would rather wait and buy it in hardcover if there is any chance it will be released in that format.
