How did the sales of the Vasagi statues go? He was not one of my favorite characters from the Vampire World series but I had hoped to pick up statues of some of the other characters. Are there still any plans in creating more of the series?

THERE ARE BIG SPOILERS IN THIS, WATCH OUT! Right, I'm on my 3rd read of Necroscope v and the most obvious thing just slaped me across the face. Harry is a vampire now, he doesn't have a "cure" and isn't gonna have one soon. Some of his last cts before leaving are bringing back a telepath from the dead. Well when the person is burnt and resurrected, say they were to have a vampire, the two are seperated. So why doesn't Harry just tell Jordan what to do with aid of the telepathy, just in case, and do that?! 'tis so FRUSTRATING! Please tell me if I have missed something here...

I know it might seem crazy to some of you, and I've read all the books, but is there a key or anything that might help me to figure out how to pronounce the names Brian comes up with. I never know for sure if I'm prouncing them correctly and it bugs the pee out of me. I'm starting to read them again and just wanted to know. Thanks for any help.

Hey guys and gals, I just came upon this site, I have nothing to do with it and it doesn't require you spend money, that belongs to a matte painter or a matter painter is involved with it and some of the scene he did for Van Helsing look so much like what Brian writes about in some of his books I wanted to share it with y'all. Take a look. http://www.alpaltiner.com/alp_navigation_html/alp_mattepainting.html Let me know what you think.

subterranean press is having a big sale this week, and a arc give-away, which will include necroscope, but i'm not sure if it will be in the sale or the give-away. check it out. we'll be running a H-U-G-E sale next Monday, followed by an Advance Reading Copy giveaway later in the week. This will be your chance to score some great reading at unbelievable prices, and copies of some books that haven't even been published yet, such as Triskell Tales 2 (Charles de Lint), The Ocean and All Its Devices (William Browning Spencer), Necroscope (Brian Lumley), Lords of the Razor and Retro Pulp Tales (both Joe R. Brian made a mistake, or not him then the publishers did. In Defilers, page 621. It is talking about when jake is about to kill off szwart's deadspawn. Well, it said Liz instead of Millie. Liz was at E-branch HQ.. only person around him was Millie. "Right, said the other. As for who I am: Wallace Fovargue is who I was. Then Szwart killed me 'cause I was . . . well I was hinterest in the woman. Jake looked at Liz . "Wallace Fovergue?" "An Ugly, diseased little dwarf," she told him, picking the reason for Jake's question right out of his mind. ect ect ect Liz wouldn't know anything about Wallace, she never he heard of him, none of E-branch besides M…

I love Brian Lumley - hence posting here - but surely there have been twists you saw coming? Like the fact that the people that Jake Cutter is/was chasing in the last trilogy of books were vampires... Yes, it was a great idea, but I'm sorry, it just seemed so obvious to me... Please, somebody tell me I'm not alone?!

If there is a better place or way for me to post this please let me know, but I have a question. I'm about halfway through Nec II and am a little unclear about the orgins of the Other. Did it come from Yulian's tooth, or did I miss something while reading way too long into the night Thanks for any help to a newbie!

Just wanted to clear up any mispronunciations (if any) that I've been using for character/place names in these books: Keogh- "KEY-oh"? This isn't a very common name in the US. Never heard of it before the Necroscope, at any rate. Szgany- "ZZ-gahnee"? Turgosheim- "TURGO-shime" or is it "TURGOS-hime"? Zek's last name: "FOH-ner" or "FAY-ner"? and finally, is it "WAHM-fearee" or "VAHM-fearee"? I lean towards the latter given that most Romantic tongues pronounce W's like V's. Thanks for any and all help, and I will read what I will read.

I haven't finished the entire series yet, just finished The Last Aerie, and I went looking online for the other ones when I stumbled across this: http://www.festa-verlag.de/Necroscope/Nestors-Rache::153.html If you can't read German, the synopsis says "Lord Nestor of the Wamphyri is the new Necroscope. Owing to the inheritance of its legendary father Harry Keogh he attains power, wealth, highest desire - everything that is entitled to a Vampirfuersten on Starside. But with frightening it must state that one is not inaugurated unpunished into the secrets of the dead ones..." Is this a totally different book for Germany? Or did the author just make a mistake?

Oi, I'm currently rereading the whole series (while waiting for my copy of Harry Keogh and other Weird Heroes to arrive) and I've been noticing quite a few references to H. P. Lovecraft's shorts 'this time around. So I figured that I'd make a thread about 'em, perhaps I've missed a few? If so: don't hesitate with sharing them with the rest of us. Major references: In "Dreams in the Witch-House", Lovecraft brought up the concept of using a mathematical equation to teleport / transport / travel. Sounds familiar, eh? Minor references: There was a ton of references to "The Statement of Randolph Carter" in book 4, here's a few of them: The whole "bring back…

Hello, I'm new around here, although I have been into Brian Lumley since the end of the 80's! I remember looking for a new horror writer after getting bored of Shaun Hutson's drivel, and the covers of the original Necroscope books seemed to draw me to them. A portion of Necroscope IV was printed in a magazine and that clinched it for me. I rushed out and bought all the Necroscope I could find. I've just put down Necroscope: Avengers after saving it up for a while and I can't believe it's all over! I read about Necroscope: The Touch, although I'm puzzled as to how Brian's going to 'wedge' this one in. I mean, Harry died in a nuclear inferno, so what's with the me…

I'm not sure how many of the rest of you when you read the books came to the conclusion that Harry was the first Necroscope. I admit that I always thought he was. However I'm not on my second read through and I just came across an interesting tidbit while Thibor and Dragosani where talking, that makes me wonder. As for speaking to the dead: that is something else entirely. Very few men have ever mastered that for a skill! - Necroscope, Page 166. It just makes me wonder that, if Harry wasn't the first, then what became of the others? Why is it that if there were others they couldn't sense him and communicate with him to help him understand his powers more rather than l…

Just bought a new computer. AND HAVE FINALLY GOTTEN TO READ THE NEWSLETTER!! Good gawd, what a pain an outdated computer can be... It was great to read about the Con... again. Well, not great, I guess, but good, and pics will make it even better when Shadoe gets 'em up... not quite like being there, true, but oh well. Those Cons do just get better and better, huh? So what's the speculation on the new Necroscope book? Who're the players? People we know? Anyone got any ideas? [ December 11, 2004, 10:11 PM: Message edited by: Nathan ]

Ever since I first saw Stargate the movie and the subsequent long running TV show I have wondered about the similarities between these and the Necroscope saga i;e a glowing shimmering gate, symbiotic leech like creatures that attatch to the spine and imbue there hosts with great strengths whilst stripping them of all compassion and result in glowing eyes, am I just being cynical ? Maybe, but one things for sure Brians books came first. Would be interested to hear other viewpoints.

Is anyone on this forum a long-dead mathematician? No, oh well... I'm going through my first re-read of The Necroscope Seies(es). The first time I just read through it all without worrying about the small amount of maths in it. This time however, I have all the time in the world. I know Necroscope is just a book and that, as far as I know, there is no mobius continuim. But I still understand it in the book. Well, now I'm stuck because I got to the point where the Dweller is talking about time travel. I just cannot understand what is trying to be said. Again, I know it is NOT real but have still tried to look up the bottle and still cant make any sense of it. Surely some…

alright guys i wonder if someone can clear this up for me coz i jus cant seem to get my head around this ,but im sure theres an obvious explanation im halfway through necro III , and i dont get how the gate works . it seems you can enter from perchosk projekt and end up at starside ,but you cant return once youve entered . so what me dont get is i how the giant bat, wolf ,leech ,and wamphyri warrior get through from starside , wouldnt any one trapped on starside jus be able to do the same the only thing i can think of is that when the gate was first created on the projekt side it was very unstable and the surface of the sphere was weak enough to return th…
