alright ive been looking at a lot of necro artwork and every artist has his or her idea how the wamphyri look for instance ,i think we all have our own interpretation on how they might look . i was wondering if brian has ever worked with any artist to show his version of how they look ? be amazing to see the results [ January 14, 2005, 09:41 AM: Message edited by: skinters ]

I've been a reader of Brian's stories for about 15 years now and have 'converted' quite a few to the ways of the Necroscope. I have 49 books (some personally signed from Brian to me) and I would love to buy some for friends in Thailand but they don't read English too well. Has the Necroscope series been translated into Thai and if so does anyone know where I can buy them from? It would have to be postal as I won't have time to visit stores between flights. Thanks

Hi I'm new here, and I'm so glad that I've found people that actually know what 'the necroscope' is! I really only know of three people other than me... it's sad really. My mom, one of my teachers, and a guy I go to school with. Yeah, that's it. But more to the point. I'm glad that I've found people that know what 'the necroscope' is, because I've been wanting to roleplay. Now, some of you may not know what roleplaying is, so I'll explain: To put it simply, roleplaying is choosing a role, and playing as it! It's like writing a book with a bunch of other people! You create your own character that's themed around whatever genre you may choose, and you act…

the wamphari always had their war gauntlets but the descriptions in the books were rather vauge. im attempting to build one and id like to know what others think it should look like, what kind of mechanism the szangy would be able to make so that when a lord closed his hand into a fist the spikes and hooks would spring out. anybody got an idea what a gauntlet would look like?

i'm posted a few replies to other topics so i thought i'd throw in a topic why not we're all fans here. sooo.. anyway, i'm well into vamp stuff and too be honest the best vamps i've read aboot are brian lumley's. the life cycle and the different stages they go through are vary nice indeed. the charisma and tenacity of the blood sucking beasts with there regal attitudes and there self-rightous ideas and they sooo savage in battle (i want a wamphyri gauntlet..how menacing are them) my sis watches buffy and seeing them vamps they would'nt stand a chance against a fresh liutenant.. go wamphyri.. (and thank you brian lumley for writing these amazing novels.. genius..

I can't believe this has never been discussed (at least in my tenure on the MB). Now obviously you won't be able to tell me what you come up with because, of course, you'll be dead and you'll have been pondering it for decades. But what do you think you will ponder and try to come up with as you lie for centuries with nothing else to do? What do you do in life that you will continue to do in death? (Yeah, I know it's a fictional concept... humor me. After all... no one really knows that it is fictional! Seems just as plausible as some things I've heard. )

Um, hi again. Long time since I made a post, and this is probably not the right place to post this, but I don't know... Anyway. I have a question. I am trying to find out if anyone on the board, or even Mr. Lumley himself, has ever seen an artist acurately depict what it looks like through the future door (Necroscope Books). I'm sure we all see something similar in our minds when he describes the vast blue lifelines, some red, ending at points, and new ones begining. But I was wonding if anyone has ever done a good job at drawing/painting/sketching this. I'd love to contact the genius himself, but I feel bad about bothering him about something like this. So i…

Hi Guys When I was a younger guy I used to read 2000AD an older kids comic here in the UK. I own and have read the all the Necroscope series of books (Necroscope, Vampire world, E-Branch, and lost year). I am a complete addict. My question is this.... Did the Necroscope feature in 2000AD for a while? I am sure it did but as I was young I cannot be sure! Can anyone help me out here? Many thanks Matt

Whats going on all. I am fairly new to the message board but have been a long time Lumley fan. My question is has anyone ever thought of doing your own fan film? There is always a lot of talk on who what play what in a hollywood movie, but what about getting some other Necroscope readers together and doing a film. With a little creativity it may be fun. I've often thought how much work would go into doing a small fan film myself. If you got the time there are great fan films all over the internet based on a variety of books, movies and video games.

Blood brothers The last aerie Blood wars Invaders Defilers Avengers ok as youve noticed ive left out the lost years .now i know the lost years were done by brian to fill in the gap in the chronology between Wamphyri and the Source ,and i dont want to leave them out,but wanted to know how they fit in with the others as a whole and does it work. im thinking would i be better reading the lost years before i start blood brothers jus to tie things up as i re…

Hi ! I'm very angry. Brian Lumley is hardly ever published in my country. They prefer the Masterton (beurk) stories, always the same, never the best (Brian). I hope the french publisher will understand the high quality of the Brian Lumley's saga. We only have translated the first and second books of Necroscope and the third ??????????? not yet..... Brian Lumley is the creator of new Vampire archetype. They are three moment in Vampire story, first the dualistic Vampire story (it's the pathos of the Brian Stoker story, between the bielief et the damnation, moralist story, a symbolic circle with a religious resolution) Second, the "Kierkegaardian vampire story" (Anne …

Firstly; the important stuff: I'm currently reading the awesome Necroscope books. I've read 1 through 4 in the past 4 weeks and am 4/5 chapters into #5 (DeadSpawn) - loving them all too! In my sparetime I do some 3D character modeling work as part of a learning process. (I don't sell or use them as advertising, i simply do it because i like learning and have a keen interest in animation.) Anyways, i'm very eager to make a 3D render of my fave Necroscope character (Harry Keogh of course). But i'm a terrible sketch artist... this is where you budding artists come in I'd love it if someone could draw and send me (post it here if it's easier) a co…

With all the newer faces around I thought I'd revive this old game. Here are the rules for those who haven't played... If you are able to answer a standing question correctly and are then confirmed by the asker, it is then your turn to ask the next question. Please wait to be confirmed just in case your answer is not complete enough for the asker. (Sometimes answers can be confirmed by others if asker is gone for more than a day or so.) This thread is for Necroscope questions only. There is also a thread for 'Lumlian knowledge' that you can play along with in the Other Novels/Short Stories forum. If you need to look up an answer in the books, go right ah…

If I remember right, Brian said that Wamphyri was pronounced Vam-fear-ee, corrections are welcomed. ~chuckle~ Never have been sure how to pronounce Szgany and Thyre, however. Have I left any out? Any other words that have a questionable pronunciation?

Sry guys I know this is old to most of you but I just finished the series went to the library and got all 3 books and read them straight thru. Of all the possible endings I could imagine that ending never crossed my mind lol thats why he is the master and I'm just a guy that reads them lol. Just wanted to say they were great in the traditional Lumley fashion and wasnt the least bit disappointed. Now I'm going to get the lost years and try it out I think it's the only one I havent read
