Hey New People!

Welcome forum for new members to say hi, ask questions about the site, or just to tell how you stumbled into the horrifically wonderful world of Lumley...

  1. Started by Dirk Diggler,

Just thought I'd make an introduction post. I've been a Brian Lumley fan since 1989. I was going on holiday and wanted something big to read whilst lazing away the day on the beach. So I went into the airport magazine shop and saw a big book called Necroscope. It was pretty big, so I bought it, not expecting much as these wordy novels aren't always up to scratch. By the time I came back to England (two weeks later) I had an unquenchable thirst for everything Lumley. Thanks for the great books Brian, much appreciated

Hello again I signed up to this forum a while back and maybe posted the odd message here and there, but never really established myself as a regular member of the forum. I would like to change that...So here I am saying a big hello to all members of the Brian Lumley forum. Maliris

  3. Started by bella,

hi everyone my name is bella and i'm so excited to find, and, join this site.I stumbled upon it completely by accident, 2 minutes beforehand i stumbled upon 'the touch' by accident too and one led me rather nicely to the other.I am and have been for quite a long time, a big fan of mr lumley's novels ,although my heart really lies with the necroscope saga It has come as a complete surprise to me that there are 2 other books published since the e-branch trilogy as i thought they more or less signaled the end of the vampires i love so much (allthough my heart had already been broken with the demise of harry ! )I have had a look in the forums as i didnt really understand wher…

  7. Started by senbei,

Hello I'm Senbei and i'm 25 year old. As you could see it on the title of my message I'm French. I promise to make of my the best to make understand me without chafing your language. I knew mister Lumley thanks to the book Necroscope during my studies. one of my professors had precisely confiscated it from me for month, he returned it me by saying that this book was not worth to miss its lessons but ... those of the colleagues perhaps. Few month later, i found Wamphyri! I was so thrilled by this book as I read it in 2 days (personal record never equated since) But since nothing more ! My English do not allow me to use other volumes and no more publishing com…

Wow - Ive not been on here for a longggg time! Was originially registered as Patrick (thats my name) when the board first started and it was a fantastic board. I have no doubt it still is! OK - Im from Manchester, 34 and it is extremely difficult to pick my favourite Brian Lumley book. But I'll try! Was a great lover of the Hero books - really couldn't put them down and as for the necroscope series, The Source is one of the greatest stories Ive ever read. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is as good as the 3 Vampire World books. Pure genius.

I am a brand new member, but no stranger to the site, definitely no stranger to Mr. Lumley's work. I realized about a week ago that I never registered and decided I should. In checking out past postings, it seems to be full of the cheeriest bunch of ghouls on the net. I look forward to bumping around with you all some time.

  12. Hi all Just found this site, fantastic! Read the first necroscope about 2 years ago. never went on to read anymore. 6 weeks ago i read it again, absolutely hooked, went onto amazon and bought the other 4 books in the series. I'm now halfway through number 5 and discovered tonight that it goes up to 12 books, yay, yipee, whohoo! but oh my god, looking for blood brothers on amazon and the cheapest i can find is £17.24 pluspostage & packing! Can anyone tell me where i can get this cheaper or is this a good buy? thank you in advance

  14. Started by leezeebub,

hello, my name is lee and im from the UK. i picked up a copy of blood brothers 1 about 7 years ago when i was 15, but i wasnt much into reading prologues at the time lol so i quickly lost intrest. then a couple of weeks ago i picked it up again and im about halfway through (after reading that someone read the whole series in that time, im almost ashamed to admit it. i'll blame it on the fact that my reading time only adds up to 2-3 hours a week lol). The main reason i joined this site is to find out what other books are available in the series, and where i can get them. last night i ventured down to my local borders, purchased necroscope 1-4 and put in an order for…

Hello old friends! It's me, SpOOkshow - or Paul, if you know me better as such. I appreciate that it's practically half a century since I logged in and said hello, but - here I am! (I'd throw in a longevity/tenacity quote, but it's been a while). How are you all? How's the site? Consider me out of the BL loop, and looking back in. What have I missed? Would be good to catch up! --P

This is the only such forum that I've tried to date. I enjoy the Lumley novels and believe that I have read them all. That makes me one of those who waits for another. I saw this site in the Campanion which I finally bought today during lunch. I could be put down as somebody interested in things to read along these lines. So far, I've found very few authors as readable as Brian's material and Koonz ... waiting for new novels there as well. I do read a lot of SF, but not as much as when I was in college. Thanks, John

  18. Started by Jade Rose,

Well, I'm not exactly a newbie, but I've been gone for two years, it might even be three, I'm not really sure anymore. It's been awhile. But I figure having been gone so long that I may as well at least introduce myself. Or rather re-introduce myself. My real name is Amy,but calling me Jade truly is fine if you can't remember. I've been reading Lumley books for around 8 years now. I can't help but reread the ones I've got because they're so good. I've converted my husband though he prefers Titus Crow over Necroscope. I have a beautiful baby girl who is the light of my life and makes book reading take far loner than it really ought to. And speaking of, she's letting me…

Also I moderate my forum from work. I am 35 and have 2 small children, I have an interest in programming and the occult (this being nothing more than an interest). I enjoy computer games and reading (obviously, doh). Looking forward to more installments from the master of Sci Fi Horror. BTW I miss Harry, Cheers Nec. another newbie to the forum, first time poster. just reading the whole series for the fourth time, into blood brothers at the moment. watching hero's on the tv and got to thinking how some of the characters seem to have abilities simular to keogh and others. i mean peter petrelli would make a good harry keogh( even if he is not a brit) and syler would make a good dragosanni. got to thinking about the necroscope film( yes i know there is a whole section for this) who would play the different roles??? ignoring the above comments about heros i think jude law would make an excellent harry and christian bale alec kyle, then when harry goes into kyle then ba…

New person here. Been an avid reader of Necroscope series dating back to highschool. Tickled to see I have new stories to read because it has been awhile since I've slipped into the escaping comfort of the Necro worlds. It took me a bit of perusing to understand that Ms. Silky was Mr. Lumley's wife. I am curious to know if she is really a fan of his genre or if she really prefers other reading for pleasure. I'm looking forward to resubmerging into one of my all time favorite series. Thank you dear sir for expanding my imagination and each moment I've enjoyed all you have written.
