Okay, so we have this forum floating around somewhere about who we would cast if they really do turn Necroscope into a movie. Oddly enough we don't have anything going round about what music we'd put in the movie. Since music is very important to the overall tone and feel of what's going on, or it gives hints as to what's coming up in the very immediate future. I figured I'd toss it out there as something we can have some fun with. So if you have a suggestion tell what scene you'd put it with and what the song is (add artists if you know them but you know how many people are good at that!) So here's mine, when Harry comes to the conclusion about Shukshin has to die for k…

The Cast, could be manipulated.... The Screenwriter, could be manipulated... But can the BBC (quality merchandise in my eyes...), be manipulated... ? I always moaned about my TV licence fee in the last 15 yrs or so, but thinking realistically..... Would you subscribe to the BBC rather than ITV....??? Or Channel 4???? If you could just happily pay for your TV licence and have gems like DR. WHO and TORCHWOOD beamed directly at ya??? Why can't they take on the Necroscope Saga and spin it out to their hearts content, theres plenty SOURCE material... The BBC missed out big time on Harry Potter (sorry but it's true)..... Why not make it up by produ…

Here's what I think an industro/EBM/Sky-Fi soundtrack for the Scope could be. Nine Inch Nails/ Joy Division - Dead Souls (Obviously a Scope song) Edge of Dawn - Elegance Collide - Crushed (song avail. for free DL from http://www.collide.net) Rammstien - Du Hast ohGr - WaTeRgAtE (It's actually about Jake Cutter meeting Korath... I sang it.) Snog - The Future Collide - Razor Sharp Orbital - Moebius (from the Brown album... "Life begins as a Moebius strip) Portishead - Glory Box Evil's Toy - Victim of the Sun Death In Vegas - Driving Horses Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi is Dead Love and Rockets - Haunted When The Minutes Drag Nine Inch Nails - Only, Piano No…

Or turned into the lowliest of thralls. but I honestly think that a "live" movie cannot do justice to the Wamphyri. Most particularly Sunside/Starside. I've seen all the references to LOTR, but the CGI was minimal and complimented the film. So much of the necroscope books made into film would have to be CGI that I think it'll end up looking bad. Kinda like The Hulk. My idea, and the one I posed to Brian when I met him at Balticon in 2005(?), is have the people who did the animation for the Final Fantasy movie animate Necroscope. Now I know Final fantasy was a really bad movie, but that was because they changed so much of the story line from the games that the only thi…

I wondered what everones thoughts would be about the timeframe this film should be shot it? While as I recall, the book itself is set early eighties (someone can confirm or deny this for me) do we think it should be shot with that in mind or simply shot in a modern setting? Not that many films are made in period of the 80's since it's a time not far passed and was not a period of great political upheaval or anything. The only one that comes immediatetly to mind is "The Wedding Singer" which is made as more or less parody of the period. I wondered though, in a more gothic setting, would it be workable to keep the tale in the eighties? I am not suggesting th…

I don't know if this has been done before (and I'm a little too lazy to go trudging into the History of the Aerie once more at midnight to find out:P) but I wanted to know if anybody else fantasizes about being the director of the Necroscope movies, and what in particular you fantasize about directing. (pretend you have a bajillion euro to finance it-what would you do?) I'd personally love to design Sunside/Starside (not having any clue what London, Edinburgh, and the UK in general look like whatsoever besides a giant ornate clock... ) One thing that fascinates me is Turgosheim, because it's just described as a gorge in the barrier range, with the various mans…

DAM STRAIGHT I AM!!!! Looks like the realisation of a dream may well be on its way here folks, and I just have to pinch myself at the thought of them Hollywood type dudes making my favourite book in the whole wide world into a movie. I don't normally hold with Hollywood adaptations of books as I tend to become extremely picky and sounding very much like a snooty art critic I pick at the fabric slowly unravelling the illusion until there’s nothing left. But not this time, oh no the fact that someone is even trying to recreate the world of the Necroscope Harry Keogh is enough for me. I truly believe that the book is far to complex to be portrayed on the big scr…

What if???? We are pleased to offer this official reproduction of Lord Shaithis' Battle Gauntlet from Brian Lumley's ground-breaking third epic, The Necroscope: The Source. The gaunlet is mostly stainless steel, with machined gold-plated brass details. The handle grips are injection molded plastic and decorated to look like wood. Authentic leather and chain-mail accents abound. As portrayed in the film, this simulated lethal weapon has fully articulated joints, plates, and mechanisms to enable to wearer to simulate actuation of the various blades and hooks. The replica has a general weathering decoration to look like the prop seen in the film. Comes with a …

I'm not a very good prognosticator but having seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I can safely predict that the animals that the RingWraiths rode will be the models for "gas bladder beasts" in the Necro movie. They will borrow heavily from the artwork. Can't wait!
