UK items won't be so bad, well bad enough, but they can sent insured by by several different products. Most items will be able to be sent by Royal Mail if under the weight of 2 kilos. Special Delivery you can get more weight. Or which ever price is better it will go by Special Delivery or Parcel Force.

Outside UK will have to go tracked and signed for. European postage will be much less that USA postage.

Unfortunately I am out of control of postage prices.

• Ebay Listings I have been having lots of problems with ebay these days … due to EU Regulations, why Brown gave over so much of our say to Brussels … well, it’s done now.
   
  In any event, over a certain amount of items listed, I imagine, I no longer had the option to pay for visibility on .com. So … Americans … be sure you look at both .com and .co.uk or you’ll miss out on many things.
   
  The Saturday 30th listings are okay as are some of the Sunday 31 listings. Most of Sundays are certainly not. This might keep happening to me when I list more so do check out both .com and .co.uk as requested because when I list more to come I may have the same problem. Also, when I go to relist, I won't have the time to go in and edit everything just to see if the visibility opyion is then.

Here's what I'm doing folks.

There will be a listing/relisting:

Saturday Nov. 22 ending on the 29th. This will be for UK and outside UK.

Saturday Nov. 29 ending on Dec.6. This will be for UK buyers only to insure Christmas delivery.

Saturday Dec. 6 ending on Dec. 13. I might do this one depending on how many items are left. If you pay within the two days you'll have time to receive it before Christmas. I'll change the postage from 2nd class to 1st class then you are guaranteed delivery, says Royal Mail. And there will still be the special delivery option. This one also will be for UK buyers only.

Brian reminded me of something that I've left off the listings. Necroscope Comics. So, I've dug the box out to see what I've had. I'll be doing a big listing on these. The prices have been drastically reduced. If they don't sell this time around then they get put away just like the other stuff of at least a year. But the price will not be lowered any more than it has been.

This week I'll be getting together the items for my Christmas Listing.

The first items will be scheduled to start on Saturday morning November 8 and will end on Nov. 15th. I'll be trying to get everything I've got listed to end on the 15th. Any items after that will go off on Nov. 22nd. I don't want to go any later than that for anything on offer that someone might want outside the UK. Postings to the USA have to be done before December 10 but I won't wait that long ... better early then later.

Seeing how things go after the listings above ... if I still have more stuff after that it will only be available to UK buyers only because I want to make sure they have their items by Christmas.

This year I'll be doing a really massive listing for the holidays. I'll probably start around the end of October beginning of November as I'll want plenty of time to get things shipped to folks who live outside the UK.

There'll be all kinds of Lumley books.

Brian might be letting go of the Lesk the Glut sculpture in his study. Don't know for sure on this one yet.

What I do have to say is ... that with the economy being what it is ... and I do hope things will be better by the holidays ... so everyone will be able to get their loved ones Lumley goodies ... this will be the last listing I'll be doing for quite sometime.

Most items will be drastically reduced and at a price Brian feels is fair. However, when listing on ebay we can't sell any one single item for less than £10.00 because of all the fees involved.

However, what we have done on some occasions is taken all the books that were being sold for £10.00 or less, and some for even more than £10 ... and put them in two lots. Each lot has about 18/19 books in it. So this will be a boon for the avid Lumley collector. Unfortunately, this will only be available to the UK.

Unfortunately though, there will be some items that will not be reduced. The older the book gets the more the value of the book rises. All avid collectors will know this to be true. So the larger priced items you see stand. Some have been reduced in the past but when listed this time around you won't see any lowered items.

A 5 kilo (11 lbs approx) box of books will cost £51.00/$94.30 approx. This is the maximum weight that can go through Royal Mail. There is no tracking on this and shipping takes 5-8 days. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Over 5 k you have to move up to Parcel Force which costs even more:

A 6 kilo (13 lbs approx) box of books to the States costs £77.00/$142.44 approx.

A 11 kilo (24 lbs approx) box of books to the States costs £103.39/$191.20 approx.

These two weights above are tracked and take 3-5 days shipping.

You can see why I hesitate to ship any boxes to the States of huge weight. So if anyone is interested in any large item on ebay that isn't available to the States. If the item doesn't sell in UK and you really want the item ... you can contact me by private email or you can send me a private message though the board. Don't contact me through ebay or I will have to ignore it. ebay frowns upon this type of email and I won't go against ebay rules.

Note: I only accept PayPal because of trouble in the past. If you don't have a PP account and you really want the item ... provided I know you ... we may be able to work out an alternative payment method. Contact me by email only. Do not contact me through ebay because you can't bid if you don't have a PP account.

Heads Up!

Massive Christmas Listings ... so nows the time to grab them up. There will be lots of special things ... if they don't go now they won't be listed again at a lower price ... they'll just be packed up in boxes and put away until whenever ... but certainly not before Christmas again.

Below is when I hope to do the listings. All listings will finish on a Saturday or Sunday.

• Listing 1: Saturday November 10/Sunday November 11 for 7 days.

• Listing 2: Monday November 12/Tuesday November 13 for 5 days.

• Listing 3: Saturday November 17/Sunday November 18 for 7 days.

• Listing 4: Monday November 19/Tuesday November 20 for 5 days. This listing will only probably happen if I can't get everything into the other listings. After all, I'm only human ... eh, or whatever...

This gives plenty of time to get anything shipped out of the UK. Last date to post outside UK is December 10 but I'm, as usual, not depending on postal services schedules. Still, however, all I can do is mail it with my proof of posting and hope that nobody decides to have a wildcat strike!:mad:

I am all Ebayed out now. This is the last of them until November for the Christmas run.

I contacted Ebay and they said because of .co.uk getting so big that it no longer is guaranteed to default search which shows everything. They said I could list on .com as well.

I had tried that but got the postal wizard which is for the US. Okay...

Went and bypassed the wizard and isbn search and listed a T-Shirt, Hat and Deadspeak. I made them available to US buyers only with a message in their telling anyone else to check out my listings on .co.uk.

So in future whenever I do a my listings, I'll just make sure I put those three items on .com and send folks to .co.uk in case they aren't doing that already.

I feel good about that now because I wasn't getting the US visibility that I do need as there are so many of you Yanks out there.

Brian is rather pleased about that as well ... we'll see how it goes...

Round one is up and these go off next Saturday. Do check for necrotec items though as some of them aren't Brian's stuff but you might be interested anyway if you are a collector.

Another round will go on tomorrow which will go off next Sunday.

It used to show up on both and I'm hoping now that you don't have to do a listing on both ebay.com and ebay.co.uk. Yipes, I've go no templates at ebay.com.

They say sometimes it could take a couple of hours but normally when it's up on co.uk it's on .com as well. Ah, well, we shall just have to wait and see.

If most folks are like me they will do searches on both .co.uk and .com.

In any event you can always search my my seller's id "necrotec" and that will give you everything.

If I have to list on .com as well ... I'll start ripping my hair out right now...
