Brian Lumley 1937-2024
Silky, I am so very sorry to hear that Brian had passed. It has been several years, but I 'll never forget the kindness you both showed me when you came to conventions in the D.C./Baltimore area. Brian would tell some great stories and answer so many questions. I recall the last convention I met you guys at and he offered those of us fans that were sitting with him to bring our books down to the bar the night before the convention... he would sign them that night so we didn't have to stand in line the next day. He was a great writer, but he was also a great guy. I am so thankful I actually went to those conventions and met you both and Dave. -Mike C

BRIAN'S WRITING DAYS OVER???
Since I last posted. I have been busy with work and school, but I took a moment to see what was going on with Brian and Silky. I am disappointed for us readers that there won't be more novels from Brian, but I am very happy that Brian has been successful enough to determine how much he wants to work. Thanks for all the great books Brian, and thank you Silky for keeping our favorite author so accessible. Mike C.

Who have YOU hooked?
I've been reading Brian's books since the first Necroscope was originally published. I have bought the first volume about three times and handed it out to friends that I wanted to get hooked. They seem to have lost those books without ever reading them, alas I have hooked no one... until this summer. My dad has been sick for the last couple of years and recently had to retire. While recovering from surgery he asked me if I had any good books for him to read (I was always on his case about getting away from the television and either reading or taking a class or using a computer... anything to get him away from the idiot box) A little over a month ago I gave him the first Necroscope to read and about every week and a half he calls to ask if I can give him the next book. He never has been much of a reader, so can you imagine that as he reads these books he is putting post-its in the books to mark where a new character is introduced, whether they are good guys or bad guys, and what their powers or histories are. I think this is incredible and I hope he keeps it up. I believe he has actually looked at this web site trying to figure out how to pronounce names and looking for a family tree.

The straw that broke the camels back!
Hey! What's this welcoming The Helm with open arms... you realize that he is just one more bidder on eBay bidding on the stuff that we want! Just kidding man! Glad you've joined us.

Book madnesssssssss
I too am a collector for all of the reasons you guys have listed above. I enjoy being one of a small number of people that possess a rare book of my favorite authors. Brian Lumley is my favorite author, therefore I have (or have ordered) as many of the limited books that I can find (or afford).

BRIAN LUMLEY'S FREAKS...
It would be great to get this book in October... I called the publishing company and they said this fall might be a little optimistic.
