Well I suppose it is my turn. Had been away on holiday so missed Brian's posting till yesterday..... as with many I emailed him and to my shock and delight receieved a response today. I too have been asked to share with you some of my comments sooooooo will post most of my letter here .... Mr Lumley, I just wanted to send my thanks to you. Thank you for your wonderful works of fiction and for the brilliant choice you made with Shadoe as your right hand. Most of all I wanted to thank you for your time. Without the time and effort you, Silky and Shadoe put into this site I would have missed the opportunity of meeting some wonderful people and the opportunity of getting to know you as a person, not just the man who weaves incredibly hypnotic tales. I also wanted to express my sadness for what recently transpired within the messageboard of BL.com and to extend my apologies if at any time I was one of the people who disappointed you. I did occasionally join in the 'madness' that ran amok in the games forum. Though the mess that it turned into drove me away from the majority of the board........ I am a very new fan..... I had to laugh when I saw someone mention being a fairly new fan. I believe that person stated they had only known of your works for eight years. I only just stumbled upon your works approximately 6 months ago. You had me hooked from the first sentence of 'Necroscope'. I look forward to many more hours of being swept into the worlds and characters you've created. Let me close by saying I am glad that things have been cleaned up at the messageboard and I look forward to participating and learning more and more.
