  1. I first began reading Brian’s work after seeing the cover of DeadSpeak when it was first published. It grabbed me, but the story grabbed me even more. From there I became a voracious reader of everything Brian wrote and collecting everything from him that I could. I was lucky to come across Dave on the internet during the very early days of this website. That was an incredible chance meeting because it eventually resulted in me being able to meet Brian and Silky. I was lucky enough to be allowed to write a column in the Newsletter for a few years and even honored to be able to be a small part of the Necroscope compendium. And that type of experience encapsulates Brian as a mentor and amazing person. He was incredibly kind and welcoming to people. He shared advice and loved telling a story. Meeting his friends and sharing a drink with him and them was wonderful and something I’ll never forget. You understand a person some when you get to meet their friends and Brian’s friends were a joy to meet as well, which speaks to who he was. He was a tremendous writer and even nicer man and someone that had a tremendous impact on my life and someone I will never forget. I’ll raise a glass of Metaxa to you friend. Cheers Brian, we’ll miss your voice, warmth and friendship. Silky, my thoughts are with you and your family, thank you for sharing Brian with all of us, know his impact was felt by many, just like Harry’s golden darts.
  2. Hey, I remembered my sign in.... Hope all my old Lumley friends are doing well, be interesting to see who remembers me, lol.
  3. Thanks for the welcome everyone! Nathan yes I am still married and everything is great, just been super busy, glad to see you again. What about yourself? GOTH!!!! Whats up babe! Just been working a lot and playin a lot. What you been up to?
  4. Hey everyone its Peter, just thought I'd pop by and say hello to any of my old friends still here. Its been way too long since I've popped my head in here. Hopefully I can come by a little more often again. Hope everyone is doing well!
  5. Alright here goes. The end of Deadspeak when Harry is coming down the mountain. For oh so many reasons, including that it was my first Lumley book!
  6. I think that it’s hard to say that it is a waste of money. My point being that I’ve always felt food was a huge waste of money, by the end of the night I feel as if I’ve just thrown my money down the toilet! After all is said and done you have nothing to show for it, except maybe the whole still living thing. I’ve always liked having an asset after I’ve spent money, some people don’t care about that. So what may seem a waste to me you may think is pivotal to life. I say this since I am one of those people, who try to get every different edition of something I love, be it a movie, book, or etc. To me those differences are enough to warrant getting another thing that is almost similar. My wife in no way understands this, but then again she has no trouble spending money for food. It comes down to what a person’s priorities are, admittedly mine are probably messed up, but it makes for interesting conversation. And finally I’ll close by adding that it’s also impossible to say what degree of difference is important. My brothers are identical twins that share the exact DNA with the exception of one chromosome; this has made them completely different people. For me the covers being different make it something worth getting, obviously it’s not going to be the same for everyone.
  7. Goth I know that I've been MIA for awhile, but geesh, I didn't think that I'd be forgotten. Red I was unfortunatly one of those souls who did not put my birthdate in my profile. So that being the case, the magic date that the world was blessed/cursed with my pressence was August 4th. And btw I think that this is one of the best idea's ever since I am the worst at remembering peoples birthdays, hell sometimes I have to look at my drivers licience to know mine..LOL!
  8. Peter McCabe (thats me) my wife and my parents will be there. My parents are mainly going to go sightseeing, but since we had talked about going to D.C. sometime, they decided this would be an opertune time! Can't wait to see everyone!
  9. Happy Birthday Brian.
  10. I guess I'll toss my hat into the ring as well. My wish list consists of only one book that I am missing. "Caller of the Black". Now I see this on E-bay quite regularly, however I cannot afford the 125.00 price tag at the moment. So if anyone of you happens to see it in the 50 or so price range then I would be the happiest Little Lumlian around. I wish I had extras around to help everyone else out, alas whenever I want to get an extra, my significant other whaps me!..lol. P.s. I think I am missing 3 & 4 of the Malibu Necroscope comics as well.
