  1. As much as I'd like to believe I'll take my time..... Half Blood Prince was read in 8 hours, 6 of which I spent standing in a pool (it was a nice day). I doubt that I'll be able to slow down and stop.... I never know when to slow down and stop. I'll probably start the series over after finishing the last book, as long as I can finish it in time to return to school
  2. I love the Harry Potter books, although I'm not rereading them like I did before Half Blood Prince came out. I've already taken the day off from work when Deathly Hallows is released. As for a good book (excluding the Master ofcourse), Memoirs of a Geisha was a great read. I read it at the suggestion of a friend of mine. Another book I would recommend it Wicked. Both are very good.

I also loved 28 Days Later... but I have bad feelings about 28 Weeks Later. I want it to be good, however since it doesn't have the original director or writers, I'm not holding my breath.

I went to see Hot Fuzz today. It wasn't as funny as Shaun of the Dead, but then again I've seen more zombie movies than action movies, so I got more of the inside jokes. I still enjoyed myself and will be buying it when it's released on DVD. I wish Spaced was available on DVD for my region.
  5. I have been addicted to Scissor Sisters for the past couple of years - which is hard for me because, even though they're from NY, they get no air time here. Thanks to Amazon.com and ebay, I've been able to keep up with this obsession. Anyone else a Scissor Sisters fan?

Well, as I've recently refound my way back to the messageboard, here's a picture of me before a Scissor Sisters concert on March 2, 2007 in Philadelphia PA. Yes, that's a Scissor Sisters tattoo.

Gah, I'm disappointed to hear Hot Fuzz not as good as Shaun of the Dead which is such an amazing film. My best friend and I are driving 2.5 hrs (one way) to see it next weekend when it's released here in the US. Hmm, other movies to look forward to... Spidey 3, Shrek 3, Pirates 3 (am I seeing a pattern here?) and, ofcourse, Harry Potte 5. As for Buffy, there is going to be a graphic novel for "Season 8" which will have the gang all back together.
  8. Saw it a couple of weeks ago, it was pretty good, much better than 1000 corpses. The soundtrack was perfect.
  9. I took my 5 year old to see it, but I think I had more fun than he did.
  10. I'll be happy to take an XXL, just let me know the total (with s & h as I'm also stateside). Is this something we can pay by PayPal?
  11. Oh my, this day has just gotten tons better. I've been busy, so I haven't been here for a bit then I see... Necroscope the Movie Ooohh, so excited. This tops off my day and its only 9:02am. Also found out today that the 6th Harry Potter Book is finished, just no release date yet. Day cannot get better!
  12. Hi there GG, I've been around, just not as much as I'd like to. Shaun of the Dead was GREAT! I laughed so hard, it was so worth the drive. I wonder if Amazon is taking preorders for us Americans yet?...
  13. This weekend I will be driving 3 hours each way just to see Shaun of the Dead. That is the closest theatre showing it. I have heard so many great things about it and the trailers are hilarious. I haven't even seen it yet I know I'll love it. Thanks for posting about it.
  14. Ahhh, correct. Hell hath no fury, and all that. Over to you Helm.
