Hey welcome. The books are great. I always looked at my local used book store. I couldn't ALWAYS find them, but it depends. In Ohio they sometimes had Lumley sometimes didn't. When I moved to Utah, the one that was a few blocks away ALWAYS had some sort of Lumley in store. So that's my recomendation looking around used book stores. Or suggesting as gift ideas for birthday/ holidays. -- Amy

Hey Wacky! Don't feel bad for not having read them all a bunch of times. I've made it through like twice allt he way, the first time as I got them and the second I tried reading them in order. And at themoment I couldn't reread them if I wanted. The downside of moving across country on a greyhound bus is that even if you have plans to later go back and get your stuff life doesn't always work out that way. My Necroscope books are all in Ohio, with the exceptions of the second copies of books one and two I now own curtesy of my best friend's husband freaking out over them or something likethat. -- Amy

I don't know you from before, but I can always get to know you now! And now I don't feel so bad for disappearing for a year or however long it was that I was gone. Not living in sin is always a good thing. My husband and I got married when we did largely becuase we were doing things we knew were wrong, of course, the timing couldn't have been better since we found out a week later I was pregnant! The idea was one Lieber himself had had, and Lumley got to it first.

Looking back at when I read the Necro books it was like each new book was this grand new adventure that was better and better than the last. However, trying to decide a favorite of them all is really difficult. I wasn't a big fan of lost years, I really struggled through them, but all the rest seem to have been so great. I even enjoyed The Touch and found the ending to be phenomenal. The idea that the world as we know it ceases to exist except for the sapce within a bubble. But if I had to chose one. I think my favoite must be the first book, Necroscope. It was completely chilling nevertheless not only could I cease to read it. It took me a whopping week to read the whole thing and I spent almost that entire week reading. Then I had to go about hunting down the rest. I love the whole of the necroscope series though. And it gets at me that my own collection is in Ohio until I can get back to get them. I'm just happy for people who buy me things that I otherwise couldn't justify buying myself.

Well, I'm not exactly a newbie, but I've been gone for two years, it might even be three, I'm not really sure anymore. It's been awhile. But I figure having been gone so long that I may as well at least introduce myself. Or rather re-introduce myself. My real name is Amy,but calling me Jade truly is fine if you can't remember. I've been reading Lumley books for around 8 years now. I can't help but reread the ones I've got because they're so good. I've converted my husband though he prefers Titus Crow over Necroscope. I have a beautiful baby girl who is the light of my life and makes book reading take far loner than it really ought to. And speaking of, she's letting me know I need to cut this short. So that's an idea of who I am.

I have to say that it is indeed quite fun to addict people to Necroscope! Way to go! I myself sent a book home with our new friends from church when they came over to check out the batlith yesterday. As to he who is trying to hook is wife. I am sorry for you that she has yet to be converted. I'm lucky that I converted mine before we were married, unforutanetly since my books are still back in Ohio at my grandmother's he's stuck waiting fur book 4 until we can find it at the library.

Ehhh... I was going to check the spelling on the naem for you there Spence, but I got to showing off the books to my brother's friend and now it's in the bottom of the box! Jake Cutter had a serious problem with a man by the name of Luigi Castellano for his connections to someone whom Jake meets in a bar. Who was the person Jake met, what was the connection to Castellano, and what became of this person? --- That there, I apologize for the slight delay in getting it up. But I had to myself go back and make sure I had it all right before I posted it, and while that would have been such a problem. I was recently modded at my other discussion forum and the head admin kinda dumped a bit of work on me, and my friends much be like phsychic becuase I swear when I finally got a free moment to try and look for a question my friend Andrew calls and has my attention for like 3 hours and seeing as the boy called from Australia, it's not something he does often so I take full advantage of the times he does call. Now, I am not out of the fold. I've been in and out of here, reading but like I said. Recently tossed into a mod position and I had stuff to organize so I didn't really have the time to come in and be active here. (As a note: Melkor, I didn't mean to come off bitchy at you earlier, it's a side effect of stress and being something that if I saw on my other board I'd be required to correct given my position. No harm meant, I promise.) And Canker, I don't see what there is to be so astounded about. I knew the answer to that one when I looked at the questioin, I just wasn't completely certian, but too lazy to go get the book and check because those are at the bottom of the box of books I'm taking to college with me (yeah Amy is not going 107 miles away from home without her Lumley books!)
