my first was Nec. IV- i thought the cover was cool.  took me 6 tries to read the first page but I got his style down after that.  loved it, loved the writing, stories, pathos, everything! without him, i never would have had a bridge from Stephen King, to NOTHING, to ANYTHING, ever, potentially. Because of him, I can now proudly say safely, I've read a wide chunk of American Fiction Literature Greats, so-to-speak.  I'm still reading.  Trying.  I actually have begun the Thomas Jefferson Autobiography, and I was so moved when he began to write about The Declaration of Independence, I have decided to only read it so far as I've memorized it, hence.  HEHEHE. I'm pretended to write in English English a bit.  HEHEHE.
