  1. I'm more than willing to part with my copy of The Touch. I didn't find it to be to my liking. Mind you, I'm in the US, so it'd take a bit even if I shipped it right away.

Sometimes the worst actual movies are usually the best movies. Mars Attacks is one of them. Payback could be another.
  3. To be honest, nothing. But I haven't read Khai nor some of the other books. Just all the Necroscopes, all three Psychomechs, House of Doors 1&2 and Omnibus 1. I'm a bit jaded I think. Not much grosses me out.
  4. Probably because Lawnmower Man 2 bombed so badly. They are two different stories, they're both good (Psychomech moreso of course), but they're too similar....maybe. While there are plenty of horror flicks out there with plenty of gore and violence and such, I think the world (so to speak) isn't quite ready to embrace Brian's work. And by "the world" I mean producers aren't willing to stick their necks out for the stories.
  5. Marie English or Millicent Cleary. I'm not ugly, but I'm also not lithe or able to wear the sort of thing Zek can. Nowhere near Liz, etc either.
  6. Ooops. I'm not as happy though. I like Tor ok, but is there going to be a British version ever? [ June 15, 2006, 05:31 PM: Message edited by: nightshade ]

She doesn't normally watch horror flicks. She just happened to be in the room when myself and my horror-loving aunt were watching it. She couldn't or just wouldn't get up and stop watching. Needless to say, she wasn't pleased that she watched it, but for whatever reason wouldn't stop. I'm guessing she won't even try to watch the first. Forgot to mention: watched Transporter 2, The Visitation and the tv-adaptation-movie of Koontz's Frankenstein. The first was amusing to say the least. Extremely over-the-top. The second was stupid. The third was pretty much the first book on screen. Has the third book in that series even come out yet?

I loved it as well. Just watched it tuesday. My mom couldn't quite get it, but she didn't watch the first one. "why is he killing people?" The ending is perfect because it's just perfect.
  9. The Great Book of Amber by Roger Zelazny. (a Szgany name if I ever heard one) Anyway, it's doing ok for now. Methinks it'll get more interesting later. At least I hope so.

Silent Hill was good....but confusing to the two I went with. The ending anyway. They were a bit squeamish too. Silly men. It was gory, it was scary (in a surprise ya sort of way), it was loud. Me liked a lot. As for the ending, I don't really see it as a copout. If they don't make a SH2, it's a perfect ending because it leaves questions and confusion and makes it all that much creepier. If there is a SH2, the ending is a very good lead-in to it. The Aristocrats is HILARIOUS. Anyone who likes dirty humour and comedy in general would like this flick. It's done documentary style (well, it is almost a documentary) but it doesn't leave you wanting. However, don't watch this with someone who doesn't like dirty/raunchy humour, they really won't like it.

Well, at the end of the month, I'll be visiting family-types in Moorhead, MN (next to Fargo for those who've seen that movie). Not exactly the vacation capital of the States, but it's away from work and home. There's a most likely-possible trip to Warsaw, Poland next year with my better half. We'd be visiting his family and it'd be my first real trip out of the States. (5 mins in Mexico doesn't count) I hope it happens. *girly squeal*
  12. Oh I understand about the US paperback, but my question is about UK (harper collins? houghton?) versions, if they exist. Or have they only come out through Tor (US) as of yet?
  13. I don't think I've posted in this forum at all because the only other series' that I've read were Psych- and House of Doors, but here goes. I'm just about to finish the first Mythos Omnibus and will (hopefully) buy the second soon. But I just noticed something. The Primal Lands books seem to be an extention of the Mythos, but they're only found in US Hardcover. (as far as I can see) Will there be or are there UK hardcover or paperback? And the Dreamland ones? I tend to prefer the UK versions to the US ones. They have a 'better' flavour if you ask me.
  14. No hun, there's a poster here on this board who's name is Malinari. He had an interesting post on the other 'Touch' thread, that's what The Helm is refering to. Yeah, I got a wee bit confused myself, until I saw the link Helm provided.
  15. *shrugs* Wasn't having problems before so..... But that is a pretty big leap in a short amount of time. I've been on boards where smaller 'upgrades' (which turned out worse than before) took longer. Props
