I enjoyed Harry's character most. Without him the Wamphyri would have stayed undead and buried!! The Lady Karen's lust for life....or should I say her lust to take it endears her to the reader. ;0) Aitch

My vote would be for 'Neroscope' being the best. Brian laid a very strong foundation for what has become one of the best series of books ever! Being an avid Fantasy reader, it made a refreshing change to visit another genre which is written with such a complex and convincing history backing the story that I almost believed it could be true! BL has created a masterpiece. Source would be a close runner up in my opinion, as others have mentioned, it's the first time we visit 'homeworld' and experience literally yet another dimension! fantastic! Aitch
