  1. Hello there, I have two sets of those comics, I don't think they are that rare as you can see them up for auction on Ebay starting as low as 50p. Never actually noticed a finishing price so we might both be surprised
  2. Via my bookseller I found out Brian was doing a small book signing in London. It must have been around 1991 or thereabouts. Along with Brian at the signing session was another favourite author of mine F. Paul Wilson. I lived at the time in St. Annes in Lancashire and my mode of transport was train. I had two very large rucksacks filled to the brim with 1st editions, proofs, magazines, and short stories. I was going to have a field day having the two sign them all. The book signing was at a pub and was due to start at 7.30pm. I duly arrived at 6.30pm and waited and had a drink while I waited. At 8.30pm I decided with heavy heart and slightly blurred vision to call it a night. I asked the barman why Mr. Lumley and Mr. Wilson had called off the signing. He told me they hadn't, they were happily signing away upstairs. I dragged my heavy bags upstairs to be met by a giant of a man who happily signed all my books and gave me his phone number. I managed to snag F.Paul Wilson just before he left and got him to sign all his editions too. What a great night it was.
  3. Hello there, I never managed to get into Lovecraft but I have always enjoyed Robert E. Howard, who had some success in the Weird Tales magazine as did Lovecraft.
  4. Basically, I didn't know the site existed  I was looking through some auction sites looking for a reading copy of Necroscope 4 (my copy is a 1st ed hard back) for my girlfriend to read and saw what I assumed was an error in the listing. I decided to check Google before responding to the auction. Lo-and-behold, this site came up
  5. Just thought I'd make an introduction post. I've been a Brian Lumley fan since 1989. I was going on holiday and wanted something big to read whilst lazing away the day on the beach. So I went into the airport magazine shop and saw a big book called Necroscope. It was pretty big, so I bought it, not expecting much as these wordy novels aren't always up to scratch. By the time I came back to England (two weeks later) I had an unquenchable thirst for everything Lumley. Thanks for the great books Brian, much appreciated
